A dimension of the protrusion in an air flowing direction is larger than a thickness of the tube body. An outer fin is joined to both the upstream tube and the downstream tube arranged in the air flowing direction. The protrusion of the upstream tube is connected to an upstream end of the tube body in the air flowing direction. The protrusion of the downstream tube is connected to a downstream end of the tube body in the air flowing direction.

The heat exchanger comprises: a first header comprising a first globe and a second globe; a second header disposed in parallel with the first header; a tube assembly comprising multiple first tubes for connecting the first header and the second header and causing a refrigerant introduced from the first globe to flow in a first direction toward the position of the second header, and multiple second tubes disposed continuously with the multiple first tubes so as to cause a refrigerant introduced from the second header to flow in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction; and multiple heat exchange-fins individually having multiple insertion portions, into which the multiple first tubes and the multiple second tubes are inserted, respectively, and heat exchange surfaces disposed between the multiple insertion portions. The first heat-exchange fin, which is adjacent to the first header among the multiple heat exchange fins, has a heat-exchange surface including a first surface having a louver formed thereon, and a second surface formed to be flat and adjacent to insertion portions into which multiple second tubes are inserted. The second heat-exchange fin, which is adjacent to the second header, has a heat-exchange surface including a first surface.

An outdoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes a heat exchange body including a plurality of flat tubes that extend in a vertical direction and that are arranged in a horizontal direction with gaps therebetween. A plurality of the heat exchange bodies are arranged in a direction of air flow to form a heat exchanger. A first header, into which hot gas refrigerant flows from a refrigerant circuit, is provided below one of the plurality of the heat exchange bodies that is at a most upwind position.

A heat exchanger includes: rows of heat transfer tubes disposed next to one another in an air flow direction; and headers each connected to an end of each of the rows of heat transfer tubes. A center position of an upstream-most header disposed on a most upstream side in the air flow direction among the headers is displaced upstream in the air flow direction from a center position of an upstream-most row of the heat transfer tubes to which the upstream-most header is connected such that the upstream-most header is spaced apart from a row of the heat transfer tubes adjacent to the upstream-most row of the heat transfer tubes.

COMPACT HEAT EXCHANGER ASSEMBLY FOR A REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

A compact heat exchanger assembly for a refrigeration system includes a heat rejection heat exchanger assembly and a heat absorption heat exchanger assembly. The heat rejection heat exchanger assembly includes a primary heat exchanger and a secondary heat exchanger. The primary heat exchanger has a tube bank extending between a first manifold and a second manifold. The tube bank being provided with at least one bend such that the primary heat exchanger has a generally curvilinear shape. The secondary heat exchanger is disposed between the first manifold and the second manifold.

Heat exchanger spray tube

A heat exchanger cleaning arrangement includes a spray tube array configured to be attached to a heat exchanger. The spray tube array includes at least one tube, a plurality of nozzles, and a connector. The plurality of nozzles is configured to port pressurized fluid from the at least one tube toward the heat exchanger. The connector is in operable communication with the spray bar array and is configured such that a pressurized fluid source can be attached to the connector for porting fluid from the pressurized fluid source to the plurality of nozzles.
