The condenser is curved along front, rear, and side surfaces of the machine compartment. The condenser includes a first header disposed at a first end of the condenser, a second header disposed at a second end of the condenser, tubes that connect the first header and the second header to each other, heat exchange fins disposed the tubes, an input connection portion that extends from the first header toward the second header and is configured to supply refrigerant to the first header, and an output connection portion that extends from the first header toward the second header and is spaced apart from the input connection portion. The output connection portion is configured to receive the refrigerant discharged from the first header.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger having a heat exchanger core having at least two rows of tube and fin blocks, each tube and fin block contains an assembly of tubes and fins, wherein the tubes are aligned parallel to each other while the fins are located between adjacent tubes, each tube having a first tube end and a second tube end, each tube and fin block of the first tube and fin block and the second tube and fin block having a manifold tube, the manifold tubes having a row of openings for a fluid tight connection with tubes of a tube and fin block, wherein the first tube ends of the first tube and fin block are fluid tight connected to the openings of a first manifold and the first tube ends of the second tube and fin block are fluid tight connected to the openings of a second manifold.
Systems, assemblies, and methods of reducing head loss in heating devices
Low head loss systems are detailed. The systems may include chambers having low impedance to water flow therethrough and repositionable gates or other valves within the chambers. The valves may direct water as a function of whether an associated heating device is active. At least some gates may incorporate poppet valves or other high-flow by-passes.
Method and system for cooling a fluid with a microchannel evaporator
A microchannel evaporator includes a plurality of microchannels. Each of the plurality of microchannels includes a first end and a second end. A first end-tank is coupled to each first end of the plurality of microchannels and a second end-tank is coupled to each second end of the plurality of microchannels. A second-fluid inlet is coupled to either the first end-tank or the second end-tank and configured to receive a fluid into the microchannel evaporator and a second-fluid outlet is coupled to either the first end-tank or the second end-tank and configured to expel the fluid from the microchannel evaporator. Each microchannel of the plurality of microchannels includes at least one bend along a length thereof.
Collector tube for a heat exchanger
A collector tube for a heat exchanger having at least one flat tube, may include a base and a cover arranged opposite the base. The base and the cover may define a longitudinal duct. The base may include at least one passage having an opening configured to accommodate the at least one flat tube of the heat exchanger. The opening may have at least one wide edge and at least one narrow edge. The longitudinal duct may have, in a cross section, a diameter that is smaller than the at least one wide edge of the opening. The at least one passage may include a collar extending away from the longitudinal duct.
MICROCHANNEL HEAT EXCHANGER FOR A FURNACE
A microchannel heat exchanger having: fin segments defined between lower and upper fin tips; at each fin tip, the fin segments have inner and outer facing surfaces; each fin segment having louvers having: an upper transition region at an upper louver end, adjacent an upper fin tip; a lower transition region at a lower louver end, adjacent a lower fin tip; and a straight region extending therebetween, wherein: the transition regions along the inner facing surface at each fin tip have a first transition surface having a first transition length, disposed at a first transition angle; the transition regions along the outer facing surface at each fin tip have a second transition surface having a second transition length, disposed at a second transition angle; wherein: the first transition length is longer than the second transition length; and/or the first transition angle is smaller than the second transition angle.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a cabinet that defines a storage space and a machine compartment that accommodates a compressor, a blow fan, and a condenser.
HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT PUMP DEVICE
A heat exchanger includes heat transfer tubes and a header that forms a refrigerant flow path. The header includes: a first member that includes a first plate-shaped portion; a second member that includes a second plate-shaped portion; a third member that includes a third plate-shaped portion positioned between the first plate-shaped portion and the second plate-shaped portion in a first direction that is a direction in which the first plate-shaped portion and the second plate-shaped portion are arranged; a fourth member that includes a fourth plate-shaped portion positioned between the first plate-shaped portion and the second plate-shaped portion in the first direction and a second opening that constitutes a part of the refrigerant flow path, where a second is along a longitudinal direction of the second opening; and a fifth member.
Heat exchanger and heat exchanging system
A heat exchanger includes a first header tank, a second header tank, and a plurality of tubes. The plurality of tubes is arranged in braided pairs that extend in and are configured to direct a fluid between the first and second header tanks in a first direction. Each of the plurality of tubes have opposing ends that are respectively secured to the first and second header tanks via elbows such that the plurality of tubes are offset from the first and second header tanks.
