Outdoor unit of air conditioner

Provided is an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, including: an outdoor heat exchanger that has a height longer than a width; and an outdoor blowing fan that is disposed above the outdoor heat exchanger and blows air upward from below the outdoor heat exchanger, in which the outdoor heat exchanger includes: a plurality of radiating fins that contacts air; a gap that is formed between the radiating fins; a louver fin that is cut in the radiating fin and then bent; and a cut-out area that is formed in the radiating fin and formed at a position where the louver fin is cut, the radiating fin includes: a first zone that is disposed above the outdoor heat exchanger and disposed close to the outdoor blowing fan; and a second zone that is located below the first zone, and an area LA1 of the louver fin in the first zone is formed to be larger than an area LA2 of the louver fin in the second zone. The present disclosure has the advantage of uniformly forming air volumes in each zone of the heat exchanger in the vertical height direction by making the areas of the louver fins arranged in each zone different, even when the outdoor blowing fan is disposed to be biased upward.

A retention member for use in a refrigerator that includes an evaporator fin, a number of evaporator coils, a heater, and a bracket. The bracket includes a first portion extending in a first direction and defines a first aperture configured to receive a portion of a first evaporator coil of the number of evaporator coils. The bracket includes a second portion extending from the first portion to a first end in a second direction substantially transverse to the first direction. A tab extends from the second portion in the first direction. The tab is spaced apart from the first portion by a first distance to prevent or mitigate movement of the second evaporator coil of the number of evaporator coils.

Cooling apparatus for cooling a fluid by means of surface water

A cooling apparatus (1) for cooling a fluid withsurface water, comprising at least one tube (8) for containing and transporting the fluid in its interior, the exterior of the tube (8) being in operation at least partially submerged in the surface water so as to cool the tube (8) to thereby also cool the fluid. The cooling apparatus (1) further comprises at least one light source (9) for producing light that hinders fouling on the submerged exterior, wherein the light source (9) is dimensioned and positioned with respect to the tube (8) so as to cast anti-fouling light over the tube's exterior. By this structure anti-fouling of the cooling apparatus (1) can be assured in an alternative and effective manner.

A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit and refrigerant. The refrigerant is a zeotropic mixed refrigerant. At least one of the condenser and the evaporator has a first heat exchange unit located windward and a second heat exchange unit located leeward in a first direction in which air flows. Each of the first heat exchange unit and the second heat exchange unit has an inflow passage and an outflow passage for the refrigerant that are located in a plurality of stages arranged in the second direction crossing the first direction. The refrigerant flows out from the outflow passage of the second heat exchange unit into the inflow passage of the first heat exchange unit. The outflow passage of the second heat exchange unit is located in the same stage as the outflow passage of the first heat exchange unit in the second direction.

Louvered Fin
