A COMPACT GAS-OPERATED AUTOLOADING FIREARM MECHANISM
20240295372 · 2024-09-05 ·

A gas-operated autoloading firearm mechanism has a compression chamber fluidly interfacing a barrel via a gas takeoff and a piston within the compression chamber which is urged rearwardly by combustion gas entering the compression chamber from the barrel during firing. The piston acts on a round carrier which moves relative to a bolt carrier. As such, the mechanism urges a round carrier rearwardly to strip a new round from the magazine and move the new round rearward behind a firing chamber. The mechanism urges a bolt carrier rearwardly away from the firing chamber to expel a spend case and to align the new round between a bolt assembly of the bolt carrier and the firing chamber so that, when the bolt carrier rebounds forward, the new round enters the firing chamber.

Gripper device for holding the munition when loading a gun
09933217 · 2018-04-03 · ·

A gripper device for transporting munitions, has a support movably mounted along the longitudinal direction of the munition. The support has feet delimiting a space intended to receive the munition, the feet being movably mounted in a plane perpendicular to the direction of forward travel of the support and configured so as to adopt, during use, a position referred to as a locking position. The feet are fixed and able to clasp the periphery of the munition, and a position referred to as unlocking position. The feet are free to move in the plane perpendicular to the direction of forward travel of the support so as to allow the passage of the whole of the munition in its longitudinal direction.

The invention relates to an ammunition feed (1) for a gun barrel, in particular of an armoured vehicle, having at least one magazine and a rammer (2), the gun barrel having a loading space, it being possible for an ammunition (3) to be introduced from the magazine into the loading space by means of the rammer (2), and it being possible for an ammunition (3) to be led out of the loading space into the magazine by means of the rammer (2). An ammunition (3) can be guided out of a loading space particularly quickly and reliably by means of the ammunition feed (1), in that a pawl (4) is arranged movably on an end of the rammer (2) facing the cartridge, the pawl (4) being positionable in an engagement position (5) in order to guide the ammunition (3) out of the loading space into the magazine, the pawl (4) being arranged in a recess (6) of the ammunition (3) in the engagement position (5), the ammunition feed (1) being designed as an automatic ammunition feed (1), a control device being provided, the control device being connected in terms of control technology to at least one actuator of the rammer (2) and at least one actuator of the pawl (4), a type of ammunition being automatically selected on the basis of data of automatic target detection and/or automatic target recognition, by means of which a high probability of hitting and destruction of a target to be combated can be achieved.
