Trigger groups for semi-automatic firearms have a frame, a hammer connected to the frame and movable between a cocked position and a striking position, the hammer being biased toward the striking position, a trigger element connected to the frame and movable by a user between a forward position and a rearward position, a selector connected to the frame and movable between at least a first position and a second position, and a plurality of retention facilities each operable to selectively restrain the hammer in the cocked position, and when the selector is in the second position to enable discharge of the firearm in response to movement of the trigger to the forward position after movement to the rearward position and to enable an additional discharge of the firearm upon release of the trigger to the forward position.

A trigger assembly improved, having a trigger assembly with first and second shroud side edges that define an angled face. The angled face tapers and is sufficiently wide to partially cover a trigger spring to reduce debris accumulation thereon. First and second housing sidewalls are countersunk and have at least one debris hole. A disconnector assembly has first and second disconnector side faces that define a spring well to house a disconnector spring. The disconnector assembly further has a disconnector shroud and disconnector shroud top face that are sufficiently wide to cover the spring well and the disconnector spring. A hammer assembly has first and second hammer spring mounts to secure a hammer spring. First, second, third and fourth hammer spring shrouds are sufficiently wide to partially cover the hammer spring. The hammer assembly further has first and second debris bevels that extend to first and second hammer sidewalls respectively.

A trigger assembly improved, having a trigger assembly with first and second shroud side edges that define an angled face. The angled face tapers and is sufficiently wide to partially cover a trigger spring to reduce debris accumulation thereon. SEMI-AUTOMATIC FIREARM TRIGGER MECHANISM AND SAFETY DEVICE
A firearm has a frame, a barrel assembly, a slide assembly which holds a recoil assembly, and a firing system with a trigger assembly and safety mechanism. The slide and recoil assemblies are located above the barrel so that the barrel is situated between the topmost part of the frame and the bottom of the slide assembly. The barrel assembly includes a housing which is covered by the slide assembly and secures one side of the recoil assembly. The barrel can be removably connected to the frame through front and rear mounts with removable pins and can modularly connect with the frame and slide assembly so that different caliber barrels can be interchanged. In addition to the trigger, the trigger assembly has a hammer, a sear, a lever arm that engages the trigger, sear and hammer, and springs that bias the trigger assembly components.

Adjustable tension system for firearm fire control mechanism
A system that allows a person to adjust the tension of the fire control mechanism of a firearm from outside the firearm so the firearm does not need to be disassembled to make such adjustments. The system has a modified mainspring housing or modified grip safety that supports a spring engaging mechanism which engages the sear spring of the fire control mechanism. In one configuration, first and second apertures extend through the housing body and an engaging device, such as a screw, is received in each aperture to contact different segments of the sear spring. From outside the firearm, the user moves a device forward or rearward in an aperture to apply more or less force to the sear spring segment to adjust the fire control mechanism. The sear spring can be modified so a sear spring segment has an enlarged area that is contacted by its engaging device.
Adjustable tension system for firearm fire control mechanism
A system that allows a person to adjust the tension of the fire control mechanism of a firearm from outside the firearm so the firearm does not need to be disassembled to make such adjustments. Firearm fire control mechanisms
Fire control mechanisms for a firearm include a trigger disconnect assembly and an action lock mechanism which work together to ensure safe and reliable firearm operation. The trigger disconnect uses a spring biased disconnector pivotably mounted on the trigger to actuate the sear and release a hammer sear upon firing. The hammer sear engages a compliant interface formed by a spring which actuates the action lock to unlock the bolt after the trigger has been pulled.
