REINFORCED METAL ALLOY FOR ENHANCED ARMOR PROTECTION AND METHODS
An armor plate and method of making an armor plate is provided having the steps of: suspending a carbon fiber weave within a mold; heating aluminum 6061 or 7075 alloy to a molten state; pouring the molten aluminum into the mold having ceramic particulates in the range of 1 to 60 percent by volume of the molten aluminum and in the range of 3-44 microns in diameter; cooling the resultant matrixed aluminum to ambient temperature; and laminating at least two layers of ballistic fiber to the matrixed aluminum
METHODS OF USING A DEFENSE STRUCTURE
A ballistic resistant material and structure and methods for allowing and preventing projectiles from passing through the ballistic resistant defense structure. The ballistic resistant defense structure involves a ballistic multilayer arrangement comprised of V-Profiles 100 which are further comprised of V-shaped wedges arranged adjacent to each other, spaced slightly apart, with gaps. The gaps between the V-shaped wedges expand or contract depending on which side of the V-Profile a projectile strikes.
Pro-active defense structure
A ballistic resistant material and structure and methods for allowing and preventing projectiles from passing through the ballistic resistant defense structure. The ballistic resistant defense structure involves a ballistic multilayer arrangement comprised of V-Profiles 100 which are further comprised of V-shaped wedges arranged adjacent to each other, spaced slightly apart, with gaps. The gaps between the V-shaped wedges expand or contract depending on which side of the V-Profile a projectile strikes.
Material sheet and process for its preparation
A material sheet is formed of a woven fabric of polymer tapes, wherein the width of a tape varies less than 2% on average in the longitudinal direction of the tape. Processes for the preparation of the material sheet, and to a ballistic resistant article comprising the material sheet are also provided. A ballistic resistant article which includes the material sheet exhibits excellent antiballistic properties.
Reinforced metal alloy for enhanced armor protection and methods
An armor plate is provided having a lamination of an embedded reinforcement basalt fiber mesh within a laminated cast metal alloy; and at least two layers of an aramid fiber. A process to make the armor plate can include suspending a basalt weave within a mold; heating aluminum 6061 or 7075 alloy to a molten state; pouring the molten aluminum into the mold; cooling the resultant matrixed aluminum to ambient temperature; and laminating at least two layers of ballistic fiber to the matrixed aluminum.
Bullet projectile resistant drywall structure
A bullet projectile resistant drywall structure for building a rifle bullet resistant separation wall, the drywall structure comprising a plurality of drywall profiles arranged in a manner so as to form a drywall sub structure capable of attaching building boards thereto, each drywall profile having a base portion and connected thereto parallel extending flange portions with an outer site capable of fixing building boards thereto by screws; a plurality of inner gypsum fiber boards arranged between the drywall profiles so as to extend between adjacent base portions of the drywall profiles and a plurality of outer gypsum fiber boards respectively attached to both outer sides of the parallel extending flange portions.
Spike resistant package and article
A spike resistant package containing a pouch, a first grouping of spike resistant textile layers, and a slip layer. Each of the textile layers within the first grouping of textile layers contains a plurality of interwoven yarns or fibers having a tenacity of about 5 or more grams per denier. At least a portion of the spike resistant textile layers comprise about 10 wt. % or less, based on the total weight of the spike resistant textile layer, of a coating comprising a plurality of particles having a diameter of about 20 m or less on at least one of the surfaces of the spike resistant textile layer. The slip layer has a stiffness of less than about 0.01 N-m and a static coefficient of friction (COF) between the slip layer and the second side of the first grouping of less than about 0.40. The pouch encapsulates the grouping of textile layers and slip layer. An article containing the package is also described.
Spike resistant package and article
A spike resistant package containing a pouch, a first grouping of spike resistant textile layers, and a slip layer. Each of the textile layers within the first grouping of textile layers contains a plurality of interwoven yarns or fibers having a tenacity of about 14 or more grams per denier. The slip layer has a thickness of less than about 0.1 mm, a stiffness of less than about 0.01 N-m, and a static coefficient of friction (COF) between the slip layer and the second side of the first grouping of less than about 0.40. The pouch essentially fully encapsulates the grouping of spike resistant textile layers and the slip layer and the slip layer and the inner surface of the pouch are in direct and intimate contact. An article containing the package is also described.
Reinforced fabric
A reinforced fabric is used in the making of clothes and bags and mainly includes a bulletproof cloth configured between a protective cloth attached to an inner lining cloth and an outer lining cloth opposite to the inner lining cloth, which can not only block the impact of bullets through the bulletproof cloth but facilitate blocking any slashing and stabbing of weapons with the high density of the protective cloth. The present invention can not only protect a wearer's personal safety but improve a user's wearing comfort.
Armor assembly with a perforated layer
An armor assembly for mounting to a vehicle to protect it from an expected explosion. The assembly comprises at least two layers, each contacting an adjacent layer. One of said layers is a perforated layer and another one is a covering layer. The perforated layer is made of a material of a first density, and having a first surface configured to face towards the vehicle when the armor assembly is mounted thereto, and a second surface opposite thereto. The perforated layer is formed with holes each having an opening at least at said second surface. The covering layer is made of a material of a second density which is greater than the first density and is configured to be permanently bent by said explosion into the openings, at opening covering portions of the covering layer, to such a depth as to restrict sliding movement at least between the two layers.
