Valve timing adjustment device
A retard supply check valve is installed in a retard supply passage and is located on a side of a hydraulic oil controller where a hydraulic oil supply source is placed. The retard supply check valve enables only a flow of hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil supply source toward a retard chamber. An advance supply check valve is installed in an advance supply passage and is located on the side of the hydraulic oil controller where the hydraulic oil supply source is placed. The advance supply check valve enables only a flow of the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil supply source toward an advance chamber.
VALVE DEVICE
An annular groove has: a side peripheral surface that is shaped in a ring form and is formed such that the side peripheral surface inwardly extends from a bottom surface of the annular groove in a radial direction of a tubular member and is joined to an inner peripheral wall of the tubular member; and a specific shape surface that is formed along at least a part of the side peripheral surface between a bottom surface side end part and an inner peripheral wall side end part of the side peripheral surface such that a diameter of the specific shape surface is progressively reduced in an axial direction of the tubular member from one axial side, at which the bottom surface is placed, toward another axial side, at which the inner peripheral wall is placed.
Valve timing adjustment device
A retard supply passage connects between a hydraulic oil supply source and a retard chamber through a hydraulic oil controller. An advance supply passage connects between the hydraulic oil supply source and an advance chamber through the hydraulic oil controller. A drain passage and a drain passage connect the retard chamber and the advance chamber to an oil discharge portion, respectively. A recycle passage connects the drain passage and the drain passage to the retard supply passage and the advance supply passage, respectively. A recycle check valve enables only a flow of hydraulic oil from the drain passages toward the retard supply passage and the advance supply passage in the recycle passage. The recycle passage is connected to the drain passages at an inside of the hydraulic oil controller.
Valve timing adjusting device
An oil passage portion forms a part of an oil supply passage inside. A check valve part includes a valve seat portion press-fitted into the oil passage portion. The check valve part allows flow of hydraulic oil from a hydraulic oil supply source to a hydraulic chamber, and restricts flow of the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic chamber to the hydraulic oil supply source. A filter is provided downstream of the valve seat portion in the oil supply passage so as to collect a foreign matter in the oil supply passage.
CAMSHAFT PHASER INCLUDING LOCKING PART OR ROTOR HAVING GROOVE
A camshaft phaser includes for an internal combustion engine includes a stator, a rotor rotatable with respect to the stator, a locking cover non-rotatably fixed to the stator and a locking assembly including a locking part configured for engaging with the locking cover to selectively lock the rotor with respect to the stator. The locking part is configured for being movable via hydraulic fluid in a hole in the rotor. The locking part or a surface of the hole including a groove configured for receiving contaminant particles in the hydraulic fluid.
Oil control valve to control a cam phaser with a spool positioned by an external actuator and having a groove
An oil control valve for a cam phaser of an internal combustion engine where the spool is positioned by an external actuator. The valve includes a spool assembly including a spool that is axially movable in a central opening, and there is at least one groove in the spool. The groove substantially increases fluid flow through the hydraulic valve when opened. By controlling the size and position of the groove, the amount of the fluid flow may be controlled. Further fluid flow control may be had by controlling the size of holes in the spool. The increase of fluid flow attributable to the groove may be at least 50%, 100% or even 200% compared with the at least one groove being absent.
Particle separating system
A particle separating system for supplying a cam shaft phase adjuster with cleaned lubricating oil. The phase adjuster includes a stator, a rotor connectable to a cam shaft, and a control valve for hydraulically adjusting the rotational angular position of the rotor relative to the stator. The particle separating system includes an oil separator arranged in the flow of the lubricating oil, upstream of an oil gallery of an engine supplied with the lubricating oil, exhibiting a separation efficiency of at least 50% for particles having a size P1 and a separation efficiency of at least 90% at a size P2>P1; a particle separator arranged downstream of the oil separator and upstream of the phase adjuster or control valve, to clean the lubricating oil for the phase adjuster. The particle separator exhibits a separation efficiency of 50% at a size P3, where P1<P3<100 m.
Valve timing controller
A valve timing controller includes: a driving side rotation member synchronously rotating with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; a driven side rotation member disposed coaxially with a rotary shaft center of the driving side rotation member and rotating integrally with a valve opening/closing cam shaft; advancing and retarding chambers formed between the driving side and driven side rotation members; a valve unit disposed coaxially with the rotary shaft center and controlling feeding and discharging of a fluid to and from the advancing and retarding chambers; and a tubular valve case having an internal space extending in a direction along the rotary shaft center, accommodating the valve unit in the internal space, having an opening at one end in the direction along the rotary shaft center, and having a bottom portion at the other end.
DOUBLE SLOPE STOPPER USABLE WITH A VARIABLE CAM TIMING SYSTEM
A check valve for controlling the flow of a fluid into a variable camshaft timing phaser.
Center bolt oil control valve to control a cam phaser with a calibration cap having a pressure check valve and filter
A center bolt oil control valve including a valve housing, a piston within the valve housing, and a calibration cap having at least a pressure check valve and filter. The calibration cap is located within the valve housing and is extending out an end of the valve housing. A supply pressure port may be placed in the valve housing, wherein the supply pressure port supplies a hydraulic fluid to ports in the valve housing depending on a position of the piston. The valve housing includes a threaded portion and is fastened to a cam nose with the threaded portion, wherein a supply pressure port of the cam nose is adjacent the threaded portion. This valve provides improved design flexibility, especially for axial constrained applications.
