Energy generating system and method
This invention relates to an energy generating system and method, particularly to a fluid actuated energy generating system and method employing multifarious mechanisms to produce energy. The system comprises first and second tower structures; means operable to displace fluid in the first tower structure, and means operable in response to fluid displaced from the first tower structure for displacing fluid in the second tower structure. The system also comprises means operable in response to fluid displaced from the second tower structure for generating energy; means for collecting fluid displaced from the second tower structure for return to the second tower structure; and means for receiving, in the first and second tower structures, fluid for maintaining a fluid level for operation of the system.
Self powered computing buoy
A computing apparatus that is integrated within a flotation module, the system obtaining the energy required to power its computing operations from waves that travel across the surface of a body of water on which the flotation module sets. Additionally, the self-powered computing apparatus employs novel designs to utilize its close proximity to the body of water and/or to strong ocean winds to significantly lower the cost and complexity of cooling their computing circuits.
WAVE POWER GENERATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME
Disclosed are a wave power generation system for generating electrical energy by means of a hydraulic circuit, and a method for controlling same. The wave power generation system comprises a hydraulic motor for storing motion energy in a form of fluid pressure and volume if a plurality of tension transmission members, for transmitting motion energy by means of six-degrees-of-freedom motion of a movable object floating on the waves, move in one direction, and for maintaining the tension of the tension transmission members by means of the stored energy if the tension transmission members move in the other direction. Electric energy is alternately generated by means of the bidirectional motion of the plurality of tension transmission members.
SELF-PROPELLED BUOYANT ENERGY CONVERTER AND METHOD FOR DEPLOYING SAME
Disclosed is a system for deploying, stationing, and translocating buoyant wind- and wave-energy converters and/or other buoyant structures or devices, as well as farms of same. Also disclosed is a novel apparatus and/or machine comprising a farm of buoyant wave energy converters deployed by said method and/or configured to be deployed by said method.
Wave energy converter with a depth adjustable paravane
A wave energy converter is provided. The wave energy converter includes a paravane rotationally and pivotably coupled to a support structure, and operatively coupled to an energy collection device. A method of harvesting water wave energy is provided. The method includes positioning the paravane within water to be impacted by water waves, and transferring water wave energy from the paravane to the energy collection device.

Apparatus for harvesting energy from waves
Apparatus comprising a floating platform, a cylinder connected thereto, and a piston having a piston rod connected to a mooring at the sea floor. At least one penstock tube is in fluid connection at its lower end with a lower portion of the cylinder, below the piston. The penstock tube being provided along the cylinder and has an opening at the upper end arranged so that water pumped upwards in the at least one penstock tube will hit a water turbine arranged above the cylinder. The water turbine being in connection with a generator. The cylinder has an opening in an upper portion and in the lower portion thereof, provided with a one-way valve allowing water into the lower portion of the cylinder while the cylinder moves downwards, and when the platform rises, water will be refilled in the upper section through the opening.
Self-propelled buoyant energy converter and method for deploying same
Disclosed is a novel method, process, and system (hereinafter method or process) for deploying, stationing, and translocating buoyant wind- and wave-energy converters and/or other buoyant structures or devices, as well as farms of same. Also disclosed is a novel apparatus and/or machine comprising a farm of buoyant wave energy converters deployed by said method and/or configured to be deployed by said method.
Hydraulic based efficient renewable energy storage and regeneration system
An energy storage and regeneration system that converts irregular, non-constant, and variable input power to regular, constant, and controlled output power using hydraulics whereby the irregular input power is used to pump hydraulic fluid into an accumulator array where it is stored pressurized. Energy is released in a controlled fashion using a hydraulic motor operated by the pressurized hydraulic fluid from the accumulator array, in accordance with the specified power demand. One or more power units may be deployed depending on the amount of energy required at the output. Each power unit includes a hydraulic motor and associated floating accumulator whose internal pressure is controlled to maintain a substantially constant pressure differential across its associated motor. The system can be integrated into various energy system sources including renewable energy such as wind, PV or thermal solar, wave, tidal, etc.
