In order to provide a connecting device for connecting two components, which is simple to manufacture and enables a stable and reliable connection of the two components, it is proposed that the connecting device comprises a main body which comprises a receiving channel extending through the main body for accommodating a fixing element, wherein the receiving channel is preferably accessible at one end by way of an insertion opening of the main body and/or preferably at a (further) end by way of a fixing opening of the main body, wherein the main body preferably further comprises an actuating opening that is different from the insertion opening and/or the fixing opening, by way of which in particular the fixing element arranged in the receiving channel is preferably accessible for the actuation thereof.

In order to provide a connecting device for connecting two components, which is simple to manufacture and enables a stable and reliable connection of the two components, it is proposed that the connecting device comprises a main body which comprises a receiving channel extending through the main body for accommodating a fixing element, wherein the receiving channel is preferably accessible at one end by way of an insertion opening of the main body and/or preferably at a (further) end by way of a fixing opening of the main body, wherein the main body preferably further comprises an actuating opening that is different from the insertion opening and/or the fixing opening, by way of which in particular the fixing element arranged in the receiving channel is preferably accessible for the actuation thereof.

A frame construction, in particular for a rack system, includes two vertical columns each in the form of a rectangular hollow profiled column element having a longitudinal groove, the two groove legs of which lying opposite each other each have on the inside two longitudinal ribs, between which a hole pattern strip is inserted into the hollow profiled column element. A plurality of horizontal crossbeams, which are fastened to the two columns, each are in the form of a rectangular hollow profiled crossbeam element. Crossbeam connectors are fastened to the end faces of the hollow profiled crossbeam element. A securing device for securing a furniture fitting to a piece of furniture is provided. The furniture fitting can be selectively secured to the piece of furniture by a left furniture fitting face or a right furniture fitting face using the securing device. The securing device includes a connecting element having two connecting element regions for securing the furniture fitting to the piece of furniture, and a securing body with a through-opening. The connecting element is at least partly in the through-opening and can be moved relative to the securing body, the connecting element having at least one stop element which can be moved to a limited degree relative to the connecting element.

A fastener unit and related method for securing a board to a support is provided. The fastener unit includes a spacer block, a grip element extending from the spacer block and configured to fit in and engage a groove of the board, and one or more resilient compression elements extending from the spacer block. The one or more resilient compression elements can be a joist leg configured to engage a joist, or it can be vertically compressible toward a first plane that is transverse to a vertical axis of the spacer block so that portions of it can compress from an open mode to a compressed mode and fit within, then forcibly expand within the groove, thereby securing the spacer block in a position adjacent the groove to establish a gap between the board and another board. An anchoring fitting for anchoring in a workpiece, wherein the anchoring fitting includes a tie rod to be arranged in a connecting recess of the workpiece and a buttress body to be arranged in a buttress recess of the workpiece communicating with the connecting recess, wherein the buttress body includes an insertion receptacle for inserting an insertion section of the tie rod along an insertion axis and a support surface arrangement for support on the buttress recess of the workpiece, wherein at least one support surface of the support surface arrangement extends, transversely to a longitudinal axis of the tie rod inserted into the insertion receptacle, so that the tie rod is supported with respect to its longitudinal axis on the buttress recess, wherein the anchoring fitting includes a clamping body for clamping the insertion section of the tie rod in the insertion receptacle.

A joint for firmly interconnecting a first panel and a second panel of furniture and other furnishing items positioned perpendicular to each other is provided with at least one fixing element coupled to the first panel and includes a plurality of interconnection and blocking components for joining and firmly blocking the two panels together, wherein, in the joint, the plurality of components lie on the same plane, which is parallel and interspaced with respect to the first panel and perpendicular with respect to the second panel.

A barrel for a barrel joint for parts of furniture and furnishing items includes a hollow cylindrical body containing a blocking element and having at least one hole on one of its side surfaces for the passage of a tip of a tool that actuates the blocking element, the hollow cylindrical body also having at least another hole for receiving a pin of the barrel joint.

A compact joint for connecting a first panel to a second panel of furniture and other furnishing items, positioned perpendicular to each other, includes a plurality of interconnection and blocking components for joining and firmly blocking the two panels together. The plurality of components of interconnection and blocking components lies on the same plane, which is perpendicular to the first and second panels and which contains a coupling axis between the first and second panels that travels inside the first panel. The joint also defines an actuation axis that is perpendicular to the coupling axis and lies on a plane parallel and interspaced with respect to the first panel and perpendicular with respect to the second panel.
