SEALING DEVICE
A sealing device used for a bearing includes an outer race, an inner race, and rotatable members. The inner race includes a flange that faces an edge face of the outer face. The sealing device includes a cylindrical portion, an extension portion, a first annular protrusion, and a second annular protrusion. The cylindrical portion is fixed to an inside of the outer race. The extension portion extends radially outward of an outer surface of the outer race from an end of the cylindrical portion. A part of the extension portion contacts the edge face of the outer face. The first protrusion extends toward the flange from an outer edge of the extension portion. The second protrusion extends toward the flange from a portion that is a part of the extension portion and is radically inward of the first protrusion.
SEALING DEVICE
A sealing device has two sealing members. A first sealing member has a cylindrical mounted part adapted to be mounted to an outer member and an annular part extending radially inward from the cylindrical mounted part toward the inner member. A second sealing member has a sleeve adapted to be mounted to an inner member, a flange extending radially outward from the sleeve, and a cylindrical protruding portion made from an elastic material extending along the axial direction from the flange. Multiple retaining protrusions are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical mounted part of the first sealing member are arranged at intervals in a circumferential direction. On the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical protruding portion of the second sealing member, circumferential groove extending continuously in a circumferential direction is formed, within which the retaining protrusions are placed.
Method of manufacturing a wheel hub bearing unit for vehicles and associated wheel hub bearing unit
A wheel hub bearing unit including an outer ring, rolling bodies and an inner ring provided with a flange at a first end thereof, the inner ring being made with a sliding surface for sealing lips of a sealing device arranged so as to protect the rolling bodies, defined by a metal insert formed integrally with the first end and arranged astride a base portion of the flange and a portion of the first end immediately adjacent to the base portion of the flange. The metal insert has a thickness of between 0.2 and 2 mm and being made, using a material different from the material with which the inner ring is manufactured and consisting of an austenitic stainless steel, by means of additive manufacturing.
Wheel bearing system with generator
Provided is a wheel bearing apparatus with a generator that can have a simplified structure to reduce costs and is capable of preventing electrolytic corrosion. The wheel bearing apparatus with a generator includes a wheel bearing and a generator. The generator includes a stator attached to a fixed wheel and a motor rotor attached to a rotating wheel and is of an outer-rotor type in which the stator is located on an outer periphery of the wheel bearing, and the motor rotor is located radially outside of the stator. The wheel bearing apparatus with the generator further includes at least one conducting unit that conducts a current between the fixed wheel and the rotating wheel.
ROLLER BEARING MODULE, A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A ROLLER BEARING MODULE, AND A METHOD FOR FORMING A VEHICLE HUB ASSEMBLY
A roller bearing module for a vehicle hub module having an outboard roller bearing and an inboard roller bearing. The roller bearing module provides a spacer coupling the outboard roller bearing to the inboard roller bearing. The spacer is arranged in an axial direction between the outboard roller bearing and the inboard roller bearing. The roller bearing module includes a first sealing structure arranged at an outwards facing side of the outboard roller bearing. The roller bearing module further includes a second sealing structure arranged at an inwards facing side of the inboard roller bearing.
Rolling bearing
A rolling bearing includes an outer bearing race and an inner bearing race defining a bearing space therebetween. Rolling elements are mounted in the bearing space. A seal device is at one axial opening of the bearing space and includes a metal ring member with through holes configured such that lubricating oil can pass through the through holes and solid foreign substances cannot pass through the through holes. One of the outer bearing race and the inner bearing race is stationary, and the other is rotatable. The metal ring member is in engagement with the stationary bearing race. A metal or resin sub-ring member, which is a separate member from the metal ring member, is fixed to the rotatable bearing race. Between the metal ring member and the metal or resin sub-ring member, a gap is defined which constitutes a labyrinth seal structure.
WHEEL BEARING APPARATUS
A wheel bearing apparatus includes a hub shaft having a flange to which a wheel is attached and which is located on a vehicular outer side, an outer ring, a plurality of rolling elements, an annular seal member, and an annular slinger. The slinger has a circular ring portion that is in contact with the flange and a tube portion extending from the circular ring portion toward a vehicular inner side. The tube portion has pawl portions located on the vehicular inner side to engage with a recessed portion of an outer periphery of the hub shaft to inhibit the slinger from being displaced toward the vehicular inner side. The tube portion is further provided with a plurality of slits that is formed along a circumferential direction and that is open on the vehicular inner side. The slits include slits with different depths.
Seal and roller bearing
A roller bearing seal includes an insert part and a polymer part connected to the insert part, and the insert part includes an annular-disc-shaped middle section having a radially inner deflection and a radially outer deflection, and a first ratio (L2/L1) of an axial length (L2) of the outer deflection to an axial length (L1) of the inner deflection is less than 0.65.
