DRIVELINE FOR SUPPLY OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY
A method and a driveline are used for stabilization of an electrical grid. The driveline for an electricity generator includes a controllable power unit, such as a gas motor or a gas turbine. A generator generates electrical power. The generator is connectable to the electrical grid for feeding electrical power into the electrical grid. A torque limiting coupling is arranged in the driveline between the generator and the power unit. To limit the torque, the torque limiting coupling is caused to slip and a limited torque is provided to the generator.
Clutch device for motorcycle
A clutch center includes a pressure receiving part and is accommodated inside a clutch housing. A pressure plate includes a pressure applying part disposed at an interval from the pressure receiving part in an axial direction. A clutch portion is disposed between the pressure receiving part and the pressure applying part, and allows and blocks transmission of a power between the clutch housing and the clutch center. A first cam portion is disposed on one side of the clutch center in the axial direction, and increases an engaging force of the clutch portion when a forward drive force acts on a clutch device. A second cam portion is disposed on the other side of the clutch center in the axial direction, and reduces the engaging force of the clutch portion when a reverse drive force acts on the clutch device.
Power transmission apparatus
During movement of a mass of a centrifugal clutch a radially inner position to a radially outer position and a resulting increase in torque transmitted from an input gear to an output shaft, a power transmission apparatus includes a first torque region where the apparatus restricts operation of a pressing assist cam and a second torque region where the apparatus allows operation of the pressing assist cam.
CAPSTAN WITH INTEGRATED TORQUE LIMITING OVERLOAD CLUTCH
A clutch assembly for a hoist includes a gear train, a plurality of friction disks rotationally coupled to the gear train, a disk spring configured to apply a biasing force to the plurality of friction disks, a shaft rotationally coupled to the plurality of friction disks, and an adjustment nut configured to be coupled to the shaft adjacent the disk spring.
Clutch for a winch
A clutch for driving a winch is provided. The clutch comprises an input shaft for connection to a drive means, operatively connected to at least one input friction plate to rotate therewith and an output shaft for driving a winch operatively connected to at least one output friction plate to rotate therewith.
Clutch including a pump
A clutch comprising a pump is disclosed. The pump is operatively connected to the clutch such that a clutch slip event will cause the pump to delivery fluid from a fluid source to a region surrounding the friction plates of the clutch. The operation of the pump manages heat that is generated by the dynamic friction of the slipping clutch plates. The pump and associated fluid delivery methods are removably securable to an upstream end of an input shaft of the clutch. This allows the pump and associated fluid delivery methods to be used as modular components, that are easy to remove and replace for maintenance purposes, it also allows easier access to the internals of the clutch for maintenance.
CLUTCH FOR A WINCH OR HOIST
A clutch comprises an input shaft, an output shaft and a biasing member. The biasing member is arranged to provide a biasing force that allows torque transfer from the input shaft to the output shaft via one or more input friction plates and one or more output friction plates. Rotation of the output shaft may cause the biasing force to vary to adjust the maximum torque setting of the clutch during reeling-in or reeling-out of a winch cable around a winch drum. A retainer may be included in the clutch which retains the biasing member in operative connection with the output shaft and translates axially relative to the input shaft upon rotation of the output shaft. The axial translation may cause the biasing force to vary by varying the compression of the biasing member.
TORQUE CONTROL SYSTEM
A torque assembly including a housing including a first piece including a first face, a bore, and a first coupling attachment, and a second piece including a second coupling attachment; a pin including a flange and a pin protrusion extending therefrom, the pin protrusion protruding through the bore of the first piece; a first washer including a compound layer thereon adapted to contact the pin and the first piece of the housing to modify torque between the first piece and the pin; and a second washer including a compound layer thereon adapted to contact the pin and the second piece of the housing to modify torque between the second piece and the pin.
