Disc brake, and flat spring of a hold-down assembly for the brake pads of a disc brake
A disc brake has a brake disc and brake pads each having a pad back plate and mounted on opposite sides of the brake disc. A brake caliper engages over brake disc and brake pads. A pad hold-down device secures the brake pads and bears against pad back plates of the brake pads transversely to the brake pads. A flat spring bears against a side of the pad hold-down device facing away from the brake pads. The flat spring extends in longitudinal direction of the pad hold-down device. First and second spring abutments support first and second spring ends of the flat spring. The first spring abutment has a fastener extending transversely to pad hold-down device and to flat spring. The first spring abutment has a clip connected to the brake caliper by the fastener. The first spring end bears against an inner side of the clip facing the fastener.
HUB MOTOR
A hub motor is provided with a simplified structure to make an automobile more cost effective. The hub motor includes a center shaft, a brake disc fixedly connected with the center shaft, a coil support sleeved on the center shaft, and a motor controller. The coil support advantageously includes first and second coil supports that include first and second vents, respectively.
Disc brake for a commercial vehicle
A disc brake for a commercial vehicle has a brake caliper, which straddles a brake disc and is designed as a sliding caliper and is fastened to a stationary brake carrier, two brake pads, which are arranged in the brake caliper and can be moved in opposite directions and which each have a backing plate and a friction lining fastened to the backing plate, of which brake pads an action-side brake pad can be pressed against the brake disc by an application device via a brake piston, and at least one restoring device, by which the brake caliper can be restored after a braking-related displacement and release of the brake. The disc brake is designed such that the restoring device has at least two rods, which lie against the brake pads with spring loading against the respective application directions of the brake pads, of which rods one is designed as a pulling rod and the other is designed as a pushing rod.
Disc brake, in particular for utility vehicles
A disc brake for utility vehicles includes a brake disc, a first brake lining on a first side of the brake disc and a second brake lining on a second side of the brake disc opposite the first side. A spreading device is also provided which generates a force that moves the first and the second brake lining away from one another.
PAD-HOLDING SPRING AND PAD RETURN SPRING ASSEMBLY, PAD ASSEMBLY, BRAKE CALIPER
A pad-holding spring and pad return spring assembly for a brake caliper may have a caliper body adapted to be arranged straddling a brake disc and a one pad-holding spring configured to be arranged between at least one guiding ear of a brake pad housed in the caliper body and the caliper body to bias the brake pad, and a pad return spring configured to bias the brake pad away from a brake disc. The pad-holding spring may have one C-shaped section. The pad return spring may have an anchoring portion operatively connected to the C-shaped section, a coupling portion configured to couple the brake pad, and a linking arm. The coupling portion is elastically movable with respect to the anchoring portion between a retracted resting position and at least one advanced position, towards the disc, and vice versa.
BRAKE PAD ASSEMBLY AND CALIPER
This brake pad assembly is, for example, equipped with: a brake pad that includes a lining and a back plate; a detection unit attached to the plate and detects abrasion of the lining; and a retainer for attaching the unit to the plate in a detachable manner. The retainer has: a base part that contacts a surface of the plate; a first holding part that holds the retainer in a prescribed position on the plate; a second holding part provided so as to be movable between a restricting position in which the unit is restricted from separating from the plate, and a release position in which the unit can be detached from the plate; a biasing part that elastically biases the second holding part toward the restricting position; and an operation part that moves the second holding part to the release position by means of an applied external force.
OPPOSED PISTON TYPE DISC BRAKE
In this disc brake, a pair of brake pads has recesses in the outer peripheral surfaces thereof. A pad spring has a first pressing section extending axially and provided to a base, the first pressing section pressing, toward the trailing side, a first section to be pressed which is provided on the trailing-side side surface of side surfaces which form the recess of a brake padand which are raised outward in the radial direction of a rotor. Also, the pad spring has a second pressing section extending axially and provided to the base, the second pressing sectionpressing radially inward on the bottom surface of the recess of each of the pair of brake pads, the bottom surface being a second section to be pressed which is provided on an outer peripheral section.
Sealing arrangement for a sliding caliper
Sealing means are disclosed for preventing the ingress of water and dirt between a brake caliper and the carrier guide pin. At the end of the guide pin facing away from the brake carrier, a retaining clip holds a sealing bead of a sealing boot at least partially within an axial bore of the guide pin. At the end of the guide pin which faces towards the carrier, a sealing boot is provided seated on a ring which in turn is attached to the caliper. The other end of the sealing boot is attached to the guide pin, in a space between the guide pin and the ring. The sealing means at either end are compact, and provide effective sealing where there is not enough space to provide known sealing means.
Automobile having disc type hub motor
An automobile is provided with a hub motor having a simplified structure to make an automobile more cost effective, while also increasing a handling stability as well. The hub motor includes a center shaft, a brake disc fixedly connected with the center shaft, a coil support sleeved on the center shaft, and a motor controller. The motor controller advantageously controls a supply of alternating current to the coils to selectively provide forward movement power for the wheel; implement braking or reverse rotation of the wheel; and charging a power supply to implement braking energy recovery.
