Centrifugal pendulum absorber including springs fixed to circumferential edges of masses

A centrifugal pendulum absorber is provided. The centrifugal pendulum absorber includes a first pair of masses, a second pair of masses, and a spring extending circumferentially from first notches in the masses of the first pair into second notches in the masses of the second pair. The spring connects the first pair of masses and the second pair of masses and includes a first enlarged end portion extending past an outer diameter of coils of the spring and a second enlarged end portion extending past the outer diameter of the coils of the spring. The first enlarged end portion is connected to the first pair of masses in the first notches without an interference fit and the second enlarged end portion being connected to the second pair of masses in the second notches without an interference fit. A method of forming a centrifugal pendulum absorber is also provided.

In an aspect, a spring assembly is provided for an isolator, and includes first and second helical compression springs, a retainer and a spring housing. The first helical compression spring has a central aperture and has a first end and a second end. The second helical compression spring having a central aperture and having a first end and a second end, wherein the second spring is coaxial with and nested within the first spring. The retainer has a base and a post that extends from the base into the central aperture at the first end of the second helical spring. The spring housing that has an interior space in which the first and second springs are positioned, and further includes a base-engaging aperture that holds the base of the retainer. The spring housing includes a drive wall that is engaged with the first ends of the first and second springs.

Damper device

A damper device is provided with a first rotating body, a second rotating body, a coil spring and a spring seat. The coil spring is interposed in a circumferential direction between the first and second rotating bodies. The resin spring seat includes a seat portion, an overhang portion and a pair of clamping protrusions. The overhang portion extends in the circumferential direction from an outer diameter end of the seat portion and covers an outer diameter side of the coil spring. The clamping protrusions protrude from the seat portion and sandwich an attaching portion of the one of the rotating bodies. The clamping protrusions are relatively turnable in a radial direction of the rotating bodies. The clamping protrusions have a low-rigidity portion on an outer diameter direction side of the spring central axis and a high-rigidity portion on an inner diameter direction side of the spring central axis.

Damper device

A damper device is provided with a first rotating body, a second rotating body, a coil spring and a spring seat. The coil spring is interposed in a circumferential direction between the first and second rotating bodies. The resin spring seat includes a metallic core member inside. The resin spring seat has a seat portion and an overhang portion. The metallic core member has an overhang metallic core part that has a low-rigidity portion and a high-rigidity portion. The low-rigidity portion is provided on a side close to the seat portion with a relatively lower rigidity. The high-rigidity portion is provided on a side far from the seat portion with a relatively higher rigidity.

FILTERING PULLEY

A filtering pulley having a hub adapted to be fixed to a rotating shaft, a pulley ring mounted coaxial and rotationally free on the hub, and a plurality of elastic assemblies arranged circumferentially with respect to the hub and the pulley ring and each interposed between a pair of first elements integral with the hub and between a pair of second elements integral with the pulley ring is disclosed. Each elastic element forms with the first elements and with the second elements respective angular clearances, and the pulley ring and the hub have a free angle of relative rotation equal to the sum of the above-mentioned angular clearances.

IMPROVED FILTERING PULLEY FOR A HEAVY VEHICLE

Filtering pulleys have a hub, which is designed to be fixed to a rotary shaft rotating around an axis (A), and a crown, which is coaxial to said hub. The filtering pulley includes a filtering assembly operatively interposed between the hub and the crown and a housing integral to the crown and carried so that the housing can freely rotate relative to the hub by means of support means. The filtering assembly defines a space and has elastic means housed inside the space in a movable manner, and has actuator means configured to cooperate in contact with the elastic means. The actuator means is a single piece together with a tubular portion of the hub and the housing cooperating in contact with the radial inner surface of the crown.

A fluctuation attenuator has: a first flywheel 2 connected to an internal combustion engine ENG; a housing portion 7; a second flywheel 3 connected a transmission TM; a plurality of end portion sheets 10 inserted into the housing portion 7; and a coil spring 8 held on the end portion sheet 10. The end portion sheet 10 has an inserting hole 10a into which the coil spring 8 inserted, and a notched portion 10b into which a projecting piece 12a of the second flywheel 3 is inserted and with which the inserting hole 10a is communicated, and which exposes the end portion of the coil spring 8. A notched portion 10b is notched such that the projecting piece 12a contacts the end portion sheet 10 after contacting the coil spring 8 when the projecting piece 12a contacts the end portion sheet 10.

Multiple stage torsional coupling with centering bearing and coil spring snubbing

In a multi-stage torsional coupling and associated methods of providing variable stiffness, the coupling has an inner member connected to a first torsional connection, a sprocket plate connected to the inner member, one or more plates connected to a second torsional connection, an outer member rigidly attached to the one or more plates, and a plurality of damping stages arranged for sequential engagement by movement of the sprocket plate relative to the one or more plates to provide a variable stiffness over a angle of angular displacement for the multi-stage torsional coupling. The sprocket plate is rotatable relative to the one or more plates to sequentially engage the plurality of damping stages to provide stiffness between the first and second torsional connections that increases in a non-linear, or stepped, manner as the amplitude of the angular displacement of the sprocket plate relative to the one or more plates increases.
