Seal assembly for a valve closure element
A seal assembly is for a closure element of a valve assembly including a valve body with a flow passage and an annular seat extending about the passage, the closure element being linearly displaceable along a central axis and including a cylindrical body. The seal assembly includes an outer seal including an annular body formed of a polymeric material and having a centerline, an inner circumferential surface defining a seal bore, an outer circumferential surface, and opposing first and second axial ends, the first axial end having a generally radially-extending, annular sealing surface sealingly engageable with the valve seat. An inner connector includes a generally annular body formed of a substantially rigid material and disposed at least partially within the seal bore, the connector body having an inner circumferential surface frictionally engageable with the valve body outer surface to couple the seal with the closure element.
CYLINDER HEAD GASKET
A cylinder head gasket to be mounted between a cylinder block and a cylinder head of an engine includes: at least one bore-hole plate having a bore hole which corresponds to a cylinder bore of the cylinder block; and a main plate disposed so as to surround the bore-hole plate, wherein the bore-hole plate and the main plate are separated from each other without being in contact with each other, while being connected with each other with a heat insulating member interposed between the bore-hole plate and the main plate.
GASKET FOR DISHWASHER, DISHWASHER INCLUDING SUCH GASKET AND ASSOCIATED ASSEMBLY METHOD
The invention relates to a seal for a dishwasher adapted to be interposed between a peripheral edge of an opening of a tub for cookware and a door for closing said opening. The seal comprises a metal part adapted to be connected to the peripheral edge of the opening, a first part, made of polymeric material, integrally connected to the metal part and a second part, made of polymeric material, associated with the first part and adapted to be contacted by the door when the door is arranged in a position for closing the opening.
SWELLABLE METAL FOR NON-ELASTOMERIC O-RINGS, SEAL STACKS, AND GASKETS
Swellable metal sealing elements and methods for forming a seal in a wellbore using said swellable metal sealing elements. An example method comprises providing a swellable metal sealing element selected from the group consisting of an O-ring, a gasket, or a seal stack; wherein the swellable metal sealing element is disposed in or around a downhole tool disposed in the wellbore. The method further comprises exposing the swellable metal sealing element to a brine and allowing or causing to allow the swellable metal sealing element to swell.
Electrolyzer spacer and electrolyzer equipped with such a spacer
A spacer for an electrolyzer cell of substantially annular shape comprises: a peripheral part having two parallel principal faces opposite each other, the distance separating the two principal faces defining a thickness of the spacer, and an internal part having a thickness strictly less than the thickness of the spacer, the peripheral part and the internal part being in one piece and connected to each other forming an internal annular shoulder so that the internal part has a substantially annular intermediate face extending in a plane parallel to the two principal faces of the peripheral part and situated between the two principal faces.
ROBOT SEALING STRUCTURE AND ROBOT
A robot sealing structure including a shaft end face of a reducer, an attachment surface of an arm member that is to be in surface contact with the shaft end face, a number of bolts that fix the shaft and the arm member to each other in a state in which the shaft end face and the attachment surface are in surface contact; a recessed flat portion that is provided in part of one of the shaft end face and the attachment surface, and a seal member that is disposed on the recessed flat portion, where the recessed flat portion is a portion recessed in a direction along the center axis line of the shaft, with respect to the shaft end face or the attachment surface, and the recessed flat portion is continuous over an entire circumference around the center axis line.
POSITIVE/NEGATIVE PRESSURE GASKET
A gasket is configured to be mounted in a gasket mounting groove that opens to the radially inside of a mounting member provided with a hydraulic passage, and is provided with a back-side hydraulic passage serving as a gap on its groove bottom surface. The gasket includes a gasket body with a reinforcement ring buried therein and a flange provided to extend from one axial end of the gasket body toward the radially outside. The gasket also includes a one-end-side seal lip that is provided to extend from the one axial end of the gasket body toward one side in an axial direction and the radially inside, and is configured to come in contact with one axial side surface of the gasket mounting groove when the gasket body is mounted. The gasket also includes an other-end-side seal lip that is provided to extend from the other axial end of the gasket body toward the other side in the axial direction and the radially outside, and is configured to come in contact with the other axial side surface and a bottom surface of the gasket mounting groove when the gasket body is mounted.
Gasket
The invention provides a gasket having sealing lips in axial both ends of a gasket body in which a reinforcing ring is embedded. The gasket, has a structure in which the gasket body is displaced to the one axial side within the mounting groove when pressure acts on the gasket because the rigidity of a second sealing lip is set to be higher than the rigidity of a first sealing lip or a reinforcing ring is disposed closer to the one axial side within the gasket body. Furthermore, a seal bead which is brought into close contact to the bottom surface of the mounting groove when mounted is provided in the gasket body and a space portion surrounded by the second sealing lip, the seal bead, and the bottom surface and the other side surface of the mounting groove when mounted is provided.
Spiral wound gasket
Provided is a spiral wound gasket that has improved conformability and that is capable of exhibiting sufficient sealability for flanges provided at joints, irrespective of the state of a gap between the flanges. The present invention provides a spiral wound gasket in which a laminate of a hoop member made of metal and a filler member is wound and integrated so as to have an opening at the center, wherein the hoop member has a cross-sectional shape with a bent portion, and V expressed by an equation (I) below is 0.5 to 2.4:
where a bending angle constituting the bent portion is (), and a radius of curvature of the bent portion is r (mm).
Spiral wound gasket
Provided is a spiral wound gasket that makes it less likely that gaps that are in communication with each other in a spiral shape will remain between layers of a filler member exposed at a gasket face in a state before the gasket is clamped and that is capable of exhibiting sufficient sealability for flanges provided at pipe joints. The present invention provides a spiral wound gasket in which a laminate of a hoop member made of metal and a filler member is wound around an opening and integrated, and which has gasket faces at respective end portions, wherein, at each of the gasket faces, an end portion of the filler member protrudes past an end portion of the hoop member, and the gasket faces have a surface roughness R.sub.z of 30 m to 200 m.
