ARTICLE FOR USE IN A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
20220304369 · 2022-09-29 ·

An article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system is described. The article includes an aerosol generating material and a mouthpiece connected to the aerosol generating material, the mouthpiece including a first body of material, and a second body of material downstream of the first body. The second body is offset from the first body so as to define a cavity between the first body and the second body. A breakable capsule is disposed in the cavity, and a diameter of the capsule can be less than the length of the cavity and the diameter of the cavity can be greater than the length of the cavity. A method of manufacturing an article is also described.

Tobacco smoke filter

The invention provides a method of producing a tobacco smoke filter or filter element comprising: • heat treating a continuously advancing longitudinally extending strand of material; • cooling the heat treated continuously advancing strand; and • forming a longitudinally extending outer layer of tobacco smoke filtering material around the continuously advancing strand, to form a continuously advancing rod comprising a longitudinally extending strand (1a) of material and a longitudinally extending outer layer (2a) of tobacco smoke filtering material engaged around the longitudinally extending strand (1a). An apparatus for carrying out the method, and products of the method, are also provided.

HEATED TOBACCO PRODUCT

Provided is a feature for a heated tobacco product having a tobacco rod formed by filling the inside of wrapping paper with a tobacco filler containing a tobacco raw material and an aerosol-source material, that prevents damage to an electric heater, such as bending or curving, during insertion into the tobacco rod, prevents the tobacco filler constituting the tobacco rod from being pressed toward the mouth end, and prevents the tobacco rod from deforming by buckling. This heated tobacco product has a tobacco rod formed by filling the inside of wrapping paper with a tobacco filler containing cut tobacco and an aerosol-source material, and is provided with a heater-insertion cavity that is open on the distal end surface side of the tobacco rod and extends in the axial direction of the tobacco rod, and into which a heater of a heating device is inserted.
