At least about 80 weight % of the sorbent in the smoking article is disposed in the central core portion. The central core portion has a lower RTD than the periphery layer. A ventilation zone (30) is disposed adjacent an upstream end of the concentric sorbent segment.

A cellulose acetate composition for thermoforming containing a cellulose acetate and a glycerin ester-based plasticizer, wherein the cellulose acetate has a degree of acetyl substitution of 1.4 or greater and 2.0 or less, a compositional distribution index (CDI) of 4.0 or less, and a total sulfur content of 15 mg/kg or greater and less than 150 mg/kg.

A method of manufacturing flavorant particles includes melting a food grade wax and a flavorant into a molten wax; solidifying the molten wax; and grinding the solidified molten wax into a plurality of flavorant particles. Another method of manufacturing flavorant particles includes melting a food grade wax and a flavorant into a molten wax, the molten wax having a melting temperature between about 50° C. to about 70° C.; and spray-chilling the molten wax into at least one solid flavorant particle, the solid flavorant particle having a diameter of between about 0.1 mm to about 2.0 mm.

The second connection portion is disposed out of the second containing space. The cigarette seat is fastened to the second connection portion and receives the cigarette. The filter cotton is removably disposed between the air duct and the first containing space. The removable filter cotton is porous and absorbs an oil liquid which improves flavor of smoke.

An article for use as or as part of a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes an aerosol generating material including at least one aerosol forming material and a hollow tubular body disposed downstream of the aerosol generating material, the hollow tubular body having a wall thickness greater than about 0.5 mm and a density of between about 0.25 and about 0.75 g/cc. At least one ventilation area is arranged to provide external air into the hollow tubular body.
