Non-linear bumper bearings

A bumper bearing assembly includes a bearing housing having a level of radial spring stiffness, wherein the bearing housing defines a bearing seat. A bumper bearing is connected to the bearing housing by a spring having a level of radial spring stiffness lower than that of the bearing housing. The bumper bearing is configured to apply the level of radial spring stiffness of the spring against a rotor with the bumper bearing spaced apart from the bearing seat. The bearing housing is configured to apply the level of radial spring stiffness of the bearing housing against the rotor with the bumper bearing seated against the bearing seat.

Segmental thrust bearing

A thrust bearing includes two physically separate one-piece segments. At least one segment has a wedge-shaped surface serving as a sliding surface. An alternative thrust bearing includes precisely one segment of a one-piece design. The segment is interrupted along its course around an axis of rotation of the thrust bearing. The segment has a wedge-shaped surface serving as a sliding surface.

Hydrodynamic Bearing With Injectors And Deflectors

A hydrodynamic bearing contains a body of which an inner surface forms a cavity arranged to accommodate and surround a rotary shaft. The cavity has a plurality of pads installed on the inner surface so as to support and guide the rotary shaft in rotation in a direction of rotation w from upstream to downstream. Each pad has an upper surface of which one portion, referred to as the active surface, acts as a sliding surface for the rotary shaft. The bearing having at least one pad included in an active angular sector of the bearing and at least one pad included in a passive angular sector of the bearing such that the active surface of each pad of the passive angular sector is lower than the active surface of each of the pads of the active angular sector.

Journal bearing

A journal bearing, in which a lower half carrier ring is disposed on the outer peripheral side of a horizontally installed rotating shaft, and an upstream side pad and a downstream side pad are disposed on the inner side of the lower half carrier ring, includes an upstream side oil supply portion and downstream side oil supply portion which supply lubricant oil to the upstream side pad and downstream side pad, the bearing being characterized in that the supply quantity of lubricant oil supplied from downstream side oil supply nozzles of the downstream side oil supply portion is adjusted so as to be less than the supply quantity of lubricant oil supplied from upstream side oil supply nozzles of the upstream side oil supply portion.

Bearing element suitable for supporting a grinding table in a roller mill

A bearing element suitable for supporting a grinding disk in a roller mill, comprising a plate-like or disk-shaped base element, an annular disk and a spacer element, wherein the annular disk is disposed substantially parallel to the base element and at a distance from the base element, and is connected at its bottom using an annular spacer element with the base element, and the annular disk has means on its upper side for receiving the axial bearing segments, whereby the spacer element is designed as an annular strip extending in the axial direction and has a plurality of spaced-apart arches in the circumferential direction, whose openings point towards the base element.

TILTING PAD BEARING

The invention relates to a tilting pad bearing (1) for mounting a shaft, which bearing comprises a housing (10) with an inner side (8) and a housing longitudinal axis (L) and at least one tilting pad (2) with a rear side (6) which faces the inner side (8) of the housing (10), wherein an elevation (22) arranged on the rear side (6) of the at least one tilting pad (2) is arranged in a depression (12), which is arranged in the inner side (8) of the housing (10), in such a way that a first contact face (26) present on the elevation (22) bears against a second contact face (20) on a bottom of the depression (22).

Bearing assemblies including integrated lubrication, bearing apparatuses, and methods of use

Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to bearing assemblies that include integrated lubrication, bearing apparatuses including such bearing assemblies, and related methods. For example, a lubricated bearing assembly may include a lubricant that may lubricate the bearing surface thereof during operation of the lubricated bearing assembly and/or bearing apparatus including the lubricated bearing assembly.

BEARING DEVICE AND EXHAUST TURBINE SUPERCHARGER

The present invention relates to a bearing device comprising: a rotating shaft (14); journal bearings (21, 22) in each of which the outer circumferential surface and the inner circumferential surface do not communicate with one another, the journal bearings being provided to the rotating shaft (14) and rotatably supporting the rotating shaft (14) at at least two sites in the axial direction; a bearing housing (16) that forms a space (16A) for housing the journal bearings (21, 22); a third supply passage (43) and a fourth supply passage (44) which are outer circumferential surface-side lubricating oil supply passages that respectively communicate, in the space (16A), with locations of the outer circumferential surface of the respective journal bearings (21, 22); and a sixth supply passage (46) which is an intermediate-section lubricating oil supply passage that communicates, in the space (16A), with a location between the journal bearings (21, 22). Thus, the invention is capable of supplying an appropriate amount of lubricating oil.

TILTING PAD JOURNAL BEARING

A tilting pad journal bearing includes a bearing housing, a plurality of pads and a projecting portion. The plurality of pads are arranged on an inner circumferential surface of the bearing housing and support a rotary shaft. The projecting portion is provided on a surface of the pad and has a plurality of projections. The projecting portion is provided on a surface other than a pad bearing surface in surfaces of the pad, the pad bearing surface being a surface that faces the rotary shaft.
