Rolling bearing assembly including a crimped sealing assembly having a grounding element
10253815 · 2019-04-09 · ·

A rolling bearing assembly has a first ring including a first race, a second ring including a second race, and a plurality of rolling elements in rolling contact with the first and second races. The rolling bearing assembly also has a sealing assembly including a first end in contact with the first ring and a second end in contact with the second ring. The sealing assembly has a shield, a sealing element, and a grounding element. The shield has an attachment section in which a free end of the shield is crimped such that it is bent around the sealing element and the grounding element to thereby hold the shield, the sealing element, and the grounding element together with the shield in contact with the first ring and the grounding element in contact with the second ring. The sealing assembly thus creates an electrically conductive path between the first ring and the second ring.

Combination Bearing and Seal Assembly with Common Outer Body

A combination bearing and seal assembly includes a tubular outer body connectable with an outer member and having first and second axial ends, opposing inner and outer surfaces and a bearing outer raceway on the outer body inner surface. A tubular inner body is disposed within an outer body bore and is disposeable about and coupleable with the rotatable member. The inner body has inner and outer surfaces, opposing outer and inner axial ends, the inner axial end providing a generally radial seal contact surface, and a bearing inner raceway on the inner body outer surface. Rolling elements disposed between the outer and inner raceways rotatably couple the outer and inner bodies and form a bearing. An annular seal is within the outer body bore, is coupled with the tubular outer body and has a generally radial sealing surface sealingly engageable with the inner body contact surface.

A sealing arrangement for sealing a first chamber against a second chamber, the sealing arrangement being located between a first machine element and a second machine element. A relative movement occurs between the two machine elements. The sealing arrangement comprises a sealing element which is equipped with at least one sealing lip. The sealing lip(s) is/are held by the sealing element and is/are fixed by the sealing element at one of the machine elements. The sealing lip(s) is/are in sliding contact with the other machine element. The sealing arrangement comprises a lip element that is fixed with one of the machine elements and is in sliding contact with the other machine element. The lip element comprises a conductive element for establishing electrical conductivity of the lip element, so that electrical conductivity is established between the two machine elements by the lip element in an effective an economical manner.

Bearing with integrated shunt

A bearing assembly having an inner ring, outer ring, and a plurality of rolling elements and an integrated electrically conductive element, such as an electrical shunt system manufactured of bundled or braided conductive filaments. The bearing integrated electrical shunt system consists of a fixed ring and an integrated electrically conductive element, such as bundled carbon fiber filaments, that contact a rotating ring. The integrated electrical conductive element can be integrated with the bearing seal.

Sealed bearing assembly

A sealed bearing assembly includes seal members each including a seal lip with multiple protrusions, and being arranged such that oil passages are defined between the seal lip and a seal sliding surface which is configured to slide circumferentially relative to the protrusions such that the oil passages communicate with a bearing internal space and an exterior of the bearing, and prevent passage of foreign objects having particle diameters larger than a predetermined value therethrough. The seal lip and the seal sliding surface are arranged such that, when the bearing rotates, lubricating oil in the oil passages is pulled into spaces between the seal lip and the seal sliding surface such that a fluid lubricating condition is created between the seal lip and the seal sliding surface, due to a wedge effect.

Roller bearing with a seal

A rolling bearing has an inner and an outer bearing ring. Each bearing ring has an inner and an outer shell surface. The roller bearing has rolling elements, which roll on raceways provided on the respective shell surfaces of the bearing rings, and a sealing disc connected to one of the bearing rings and operatively connected in a sealing manner to the other bearing ring. To connect the sealing disc to the bearing ring, one of the shell surfaces of the one bearing ring includes a first connecting means and the sealing disc includes a second connecting means. The first connecting means provide a rotating engagement in which the second connecting means engage in a connected state of the bearing ring and the sealing disc.

Bearing unit for air turbine

When compressed air does not act, a seal member is in contact with an outer periphery of an inner ring. When the compressed air acts, a contact area between the seal member and the outer periphery of the inner ring is reduced, as compared to when the compressed air does not act. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an air turbine bearing unit capable of promptly stopping rotation.

Support and coupling assembly for a screw auger having multiple coupled screws
10105819 · 2018-10-23 · ·

A support and coupling assembly for a moving screw auger that is used to move grit, such as grit that is used in the blast cleaning industry. The support and coupling assembly includes a hanger bearing assembly with a hanger bearing bracket with an end for engaging a support surface, such as a wall or a ceiling, and a removed end. A roller bearing engages the removed end of the hanger bracket and a shaft is press fit into the roller bearing. A pair of hub assemblies with flights engages the shaft and rotates with the shaft. Connector assemblies engage the hub assemblies to connect the hub assemblies to screw portions on either side of the hanger bearing assembly. The flights on the connector assemblies will cause the grit to speed up as it moves from the screw portion to the connector assembly.
