BRAKE ASSEMBLY

A disc brake assembly having brake pads, a brake carrier, a caliper, and an actuating arrangement. The caliper is slidable with respect to the brake carrier for clamping and release of a rotor by the brake pads. The actuating arrangement is configured to selectively move the caliper and the brake carrier relative to each other generally transverse to a first longitudinal axis so as to lock or inhibit sliding of the caliper relative to the carrier.

BRAKE ASSEMBLY

A brake assembly that includes a caliper that has a guide bore, a brake carrier, a guide pin having a guide sleeve, and a lock arrangement. The lock arrangement has a friction element and is operable to selectively apply a force to the friction element to increase friction between the guide sleeve and the guide bore and inhibit relative sliding between the caliper and the brake carrier.

BRAKE ASSEMBLY

A brake assembly including a caliper that has a first guide bore, a brake carrier arranged to receive a brake pad, a first guide pin secured to the brake carrier, and a first lock arrangement. The first lock arrangement is operable to selectively inhibit relative sliding between the caliper and the brake carrier.

DISC BRAKE

A disc brake assembly that includes first and second brake pads for contacting a rotor, a brake carrier for receiving at least the first brake pad, a brake caliper arranged to slide with respect to the brake carrier, and an actuating arrangement. The actuating arrangement is configured to selectively move the brake caliper and is electrically operated.

Commercial vehicle air disc brake caliper assembly

The present invention relates to a commercial vehicle disc brake caliper assembly comprising a caliper body and a left guide pin component, right guide pin component, the main adjuster mechanism assembly, the driven adjuster unit are all mounted on the caliper body. The adjuster mechanism assembly adopts a gear cluth structure with anti-overload function; the driven adjuster unit adopts a circlip structure; the main adjuster assembly and the driven adjuster unit is connected by sprocket chain. The bottom of the main adjuster assembly and the bottom of the driven adjuster unit are connected to the three thread calibration bolt, which connected with bridage, the bridage are arranged inside of the brake caliper. The invention overcomes the problems which may occur during brakeing, such as uneven braking force, failure of clearance adjustment, deformation of adjuster mechanism, failure of braking, etc.

The present disk brake includes a carrier fixed to a non-rotatable portion of a vehicle, a caliper attached to this carrier and including a piston configured to press an inner brake pad, a slide pin fixed to any of the carrier and the caliper and configured to allow the caliper to slidably move relative to the carrier in an axial direction of a wheel, and a driving mechanism including an electric motor and a speed reduction mechanism and configured to transmit a driving force of the electric motor to the piston via the speed reduction mechanism. At least a part of the driving mechanism is disposed on an extension of an axis of the slide pin. This configuration can prevent an increase in the size of the present disk brake, thereby improving the mountability thereof onto a vehicle.

GUIDE ASSEMBLY

A disc brake guide assembly having a guide bush, a closure, and a stop. The guide bush may be mountable in a through bore of a support. The closure may be a barrier to the ingress of foreign matter into the through bore. The stop may restrict axial displacement of the guide bush.

CALIPER GUIDE ASSEMBLY

A caliper guide assembly having a guide pin, a guide bore, a cap, and a sensor arrangement. The guide bore is arranged to receive the guide pin. The cap may be secured to an open end of the guide bore proximate a free end of the guide pin. The sensor arrangement may include a first sensor component that is configured to provide an output indicative of relative axial displacement between a first sensor component and a second sensor component.

Disc brake

A pad spring has a guide part which is attached to come into contact with an inner side surface and a bottom surface on an outer side in a disc radial direction of a pad guide, and guides the friction pad in a disc axial direction, and an extension part which extends from the guide part in a direction away from the friction pad and comes into contact with a side surface of a torque receiving part of the attachment member by a projecting piece part on a distal end side to press the side surface of a torque receiving part. The extension part is provided with a pressing operation part which is pressed to move the projecting piece part in a direction away from the side surface of the torque receiving part.
