Vehicle disc brake arrangement, brake pad, and vehicle
A vehicle calliper disc brake comprising a brake disc connected to a vehicle wheel and having inboard and outboard side surfaces and a rotational axis; an actuator arranged in a calliper housing to displace at least one piston to actuate the disc brake; the calliper housing having facing first and second side walls on opposite sides of the brake disc, where the first side wall has at least one piston slidably mounted in a cavity between the side walls and where the second side wall is part of a calliper bridge extending from the first wall and spanning the brake disc.
Disc brake comprising at least one elastic return spring for a brake pad, elastic return spring, replacement kit and mounting method
An elastic return spring for axially returning a brake pad of an automotive disc brake from an active position to an inactive position, the spring being intended to be interposed between the brake pad and a fixed support, with an elastic deformation portion, a carrier portion arranged to be fastened to the fixed support of the disc brake, and a pad portion. The carrier portion includes a support part and a connection part which including at least one connection fold arranged and configured to bear on an anchoring part of the fixed support and to cooperate with said anchoring part to avoid any lifting of the connection part.
Wheel brake arrangement
A wheel brake arrangement for a wheel of a vehicle, the wheel brake arrangement comprising a retainer bar and a resilient member connected between the retainer bar and a brake pad arrangement of the wheel brake arrangement.
BRAKE PAD ASSEMBLY FOR A BICYCLE
A brake pad assembly for a bicycle includes a spreader spring, and a pair of friction pads. The spreader spring has a first leaf, a second leaf, and a spring joint joining the first leaf and the second leaf together. The spreader spring is biased towards a spread position in which the first leaf and second leaf are spaced apart from each other, and is moveable to a compressed position in which the first leaf and the second leaf are moved towards each other relative to the spread position. Each leaf has a rotor facing surface, and each leaf has a set of grooves gouged into the rotor facing surface to yield a corresponding set of barbs extending from the rotor facing surface. The friction pads are secured to the rotor facing surfaces via the barbs, which are embedded in friction pads.
Wheel brake arrangement
A wheel brake arrangement for a wheel of a vehicle, the wheel brake arrangement comprising a retainer bar and a resilient member connected between the retainer bar and a brake pad arrangement of the wheel brake arrangement.
BRAKE CLIP
The present invention relates to a brake clip 1, a corresponding brake carrier 50 and a corresponding floating-caliper brake 100. The brake clip 1 has a width b1 and a U-shaped portion 10 for insertion into an axially extending guide channel 60 of a brake carrier 50 of the disc brake 100. The U-shaped portion 10 is adjoined by a first support portion for supporting the brake clip 1 against a first support rail 62 which adjoins the guide channel 60, by a spring portion 22, by a second support portion 25 for supporting the brake clip 1 against a second support rail 70 which adjoins the guide channel 60, and by a first fixing portion 30 for fixing the brake clip 1, wherein the first fixing portion 30, or the first fixing portion 30 and a part of the second support portion 25, is cut out such that the width of the metal sheet remaining adjacent to the cutout 32 lies in a range from 0.4 times to 0.6 times the width b1.
Device for restoring brake pads, and disc brake
A device for supporting and guiding a brake pad backplate and a brake pad arranged thereon in a pad slot of a disc brake, including a restoring device formed by two separately acting restoring elements. One restoring element is formed by a wire spring which serves to restore the lower portion of the brake pad backplate, while the other restoring element is formed by a pad hold-down spring which is capable of restoring the upper portion of the brake pad backplate.
BRAKE ASSEMBLY OUTBOARD TIE BAR CLIP
A brake assembly is provided. The brake assembly includes: a brake rotor configured to be rotatable with a wheel of a vehicle; a brake pad assembly configured to be engageable with the brake rotor; and a tie bar clip. The tie bar clip includes: an attachment portion attached to the brake pad assembly; at least one flexible leg extending from the attachment portion; and at least one anchor portion extending from the at least one flexible leg and configured to anchor the tie bar clip against a surface of a brake caliper of the brake assembly.
