DISC BRAKE

A brake pad, a disc brake, and a method of fitting a brake pad. At least one of a first brake pad and a second brake pad and corresponding support structures may have complementary profiles on circumferential faces thereof arranged so as to permit the brake pad to be inserted into a corresponding support structure in a transverse direction of the brake pad and at an angle to a circumferential direction of the support structure.

BRAKE PAD

A brake pad for a heavy vehicle disc brake and a disc brake. The brake pad defines a first and second circumferential surfaces. A first spring forms at least part of the first circumferential surface and is arranged to contact the first circumferential pad abutment surface and urge the brake pad, in use, towards the second circumferential pad abutment surface.

Disc Brake and Set of Brake Pads

A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, is provided. The disc brake includes at least one application-side brake pad and a back-side brake pad held in a form-fitting manner in a brake carrier. At least the application-side brake pad is provided with at least one pad-retaining spring which is supported at least on one brake carrier horn of the brake carrier and exerts a radially outwardly acting tensile force on the brake pad.

A brake lining retention device for a disc brake of a motor vehicle. The brake lining retention device includes a brake carrier fixed at the vehicle side and having a lining shaft for receiving a brake lining, wherein the lining shaft is delimited at the brake disc leading side in relation to a main rotation direction of the brake disc and delimited at the brake disc trailing side by a lining horn-like member of the brake carrier. The brake lining retention device includes a brake lining guided in the lining shaft and has a lining retention member and a friction lining fixed thereto, and a resilient element supported on a lining horn-like member and a support face of the lining retention member, wherein the face is adjacent to the lining horn-like member and the resilient element is inserted in a recess of the lining retention member.

At least the application-side brake pad is provided with at least one pad-retaining spring which is supported at least on one brake carrier horn of the brake carrier and exerts a radially outwardly acting tensile force on the brake pad.

Pad retaining spring for a brake pad and brake pad retainer for a disc brake on a motor vehicle

A pad retaining spring for a brake pad on a disc brake includes a spring section which can be mounted captively and so that it can be radially deflected at an edge of the pad carrier plate. The lining retaining spring has a partial section designed as a clamping section which extends at an angle from one end of the spring section of the pad retaining spring. A brake pad retainer for a disc brake on a motor vehicle is also provided.

This disc brake includes an attachment member having a pad guide part, a pair of friction pads, a caliper, and a pad spring. The pad guide part includes a recessed part, which is recessed in a disc rotation direction with respect to a bottom surface in a region on a disc radial direction outer side, in a region of a bottom part of the pad guide part on a disc radial direction inner side. The pad spring includes a guide part provided to be able to come into contact with a wall surface and the bottom surface of the pad guide part on the disc radial direction outer side and configured to guide movement of a protruding part in a disc axial direction, and a fitting part protruding in the disc rotation direction from the guide part and configured to elastically fit into the recessed part.

Brake assembly having a sensor unit

A brake assembly that includes a brake pad assembly, a pad spring, and a sensor unit. The brake pad assembly includes friction material disposed on a backplate. The pad spring is mounted to the backplate. The sensor unit straddles the backplate and extends from the backplate to the pad spring.

Friction lining with a steel wire bow spring

A friction lining with a wire bow spring including leg springs for the radially clastic support of the friction lining on a housing bridge of a brake caliper, wherein the back plate has a receptacle for a friction-lining wear sensor, and wherein a steel wire bow spring is a symmetrical to at least one longitudinal axis, and the wire bow spring is symmetrical to an imaginary transverse axis arranged rotated by a 90 with respect to the longitudinal axis, wherein the steel wire bow has a central U-bow for the friction-lining wear sensor, and wherein the U-bow is designed to be open at the top, the friction-lining wear sensor is accommodated integrated in the central U-bow and the U-bow is substantially larger than the friction-lining wear sensor, and therefore the friction-lining wear sensor can be mounted in the radial direction in the receptacle in the back plate.
