Hand knife with integrated miter guide
11453136 · 2022-09-27 ·

A hand knife tool has alignment markings configured on its blade to help orientate the cutting edge of the knife tool across a workpiece to make a miter cut. A transverse axis is defined perpendicular to a substantially straight middle section of the cutting edge and bisecting the two faces of the knife blade. Each alignment marking is configured on the knife blade at an angle relative to the transverse axis. Each of the alignment markings visually delineate an alignment line substantially across the knife blade between the cutting edge and the blade back. When one of the alignment markings on the knife tool is aligned to the edge of a workpiece, it places the cutting edge of the knife tool across the workpiece at a substantially congruent angle. Then the knife can be pivoted upon its edge and then make a miter cut.

Sock ruler system

A sock ruler 101, useful for knitting socks and other garments, features a curved heel section 120 that includes an apex 123 and two termination points 125 that are connected to a straight section 130. The straight section ends at a flat end section 190. Distance markings 110 may be found and spaced along the lengthwise portion 113, while the distance markings are written across the width 115 of the sock ruler. The curved heel section has a concave shape useful in knitting classical sock components such as sock cuffs 210 and sock heel flaps 230. The curved heel section allows the sock ruler to stay within a sock during sock knitting, making the distance markings readily available.

Measurement Devices and Methods

A measurement device includes first and second measurement indicia. First indicia (e.g., on the tape) may include numerals regularly spaced to mark inches or other units of length (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc,). Also included are second indicia, that are non-numeric (e.g., letters, such as A, B, C, etc.) where the second indicia are regularly spaced to mark fractions of inches or other units of length indicated by the first indicia. The second indicia are positioned between adjacent first indicia. For example, the letters (A, B, C, etc.) may he spaced every sixteenth or other fraction of an inch between the “1” and “2” (adjacent first indicia). Where sixteenths are used, the letters A-O are equally spaced, between the adjacent first indicia (e.g., between the “1”P′ and the “2”). The A-O may repeat between each integral number—between “1” and “2”, between “2” and “3” and so forth.

Foot Size Measurement Tool and Foot Size Measurement Tool Set

To provide a foot size measurement tool that enables easy measurement of a ball girth and an instep girth without winding a scale measuring section. A foot size measurement tool is made up of a first wearable element and a second wearable element. The first wearable element has a sock-shaped cover and scale mark indicators. The second wearable element has a cover, a ball girth measurement portion, and an instep girth measurement portion. Foot wears the foot size measurement tool, and a length between ends of a belt-like portion is measured by means of the scale mark indicator. A length between ends of a belt-like portion is measured by means of the scale mark indicator. The thus-measured values are added to the length of the belt-like portion and the length of the belt-like portion. Thus, a length of a ball girth and a length of an instep girth are measured.

No Emission Tank Gauge

A no emission tank gauge has a housing having a valve connection extending from a bottom side of the housing, a gauge line within the housing, the gauge line having a plumb bob attached at a free end, a pulley attached within the housing and supporting the gauge line, the pulley configured to allow extension and retraction of the gauge line, and an actuator connected to the pulley and extending exterior to the housing and configured to actuate the extension and retraction of the gauge line via rotation of the pulley. The housing has a window in a wall of the housing facing a marked side of the gauge line. The valve connection has an opening sized to allow for passage of the plumb bob and the gauge line. The housing is sealed when the valve connection is connected to a valve to prevent escape of fluid.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MEASURING FOR MANUFACTURE AND DEPLOYMENT OF DISTRIBUTION CABLE ASSEMBLIES

Disclosed herein is a system and method of measuring for manufacture and deployment of distribution cable assemblies. The measurement includes a distribution cable ruler having at least one similar feature as a distribution cable of a distribution cable assembly. The at least one similar feature comprising at least one of an outer diameter, a bend radius, or a rigidity. The distribution cable ruler includes measurement indicia to facilitate measurement of a distribution length of the distribution cable of the distribution cable assembly. The method includes positioning a distribution cable ruler in a path intended for a distribution cable assembly. The method further includes measuring a distribution cable length of the distribution cable ruler using measurement indicia of the distribution cable ruler.

Measurement device

A measurement device and/or system for measuring a material length, such as for a human-operated cutting device, includes an elongate band located in a band housing. The elongate band can be extended from the band housing under tension in response to a catch attached to an end of the elongate band grabbing onto an end of a material that is extended beyond an opening at which the catch is located. A computing unit can calculate a length of the material using length data acquired by one or more length acquisition devices, and a measurement interface can provide a user with information corresponding to the calculated length in order to assist the user with accurately cutting the material at a desired location.
