A depth gauge tool is provided. The depth gauge tool includes a first side coupled to a second side and at least one depth gauge disposed there between; the at least one depth gauge configured with at least one slot adapted for receiving a hot electrode of a tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding torch and an aiding adjustment of a depth of the electrode in relation to a periphery of a gas cup surrounding the electrode.

SPACER TOOL

A spacer tool for assembling a glass panel on a frame is provided. The spacer tool includes a body defining a central axis and a width along the central axis. The spacer tool includes a bore disposed within the body and axially aligned along the central axis. The bore is adapted to receive an alignment pin disposed on the frame. The spacer tool also includes a plurality of lands disposed on the body. Each of the plurality of lands is disposed substantially parallel to and spaced apart from the central axis, each of the plurality of lands is adapted to selectively contact an edge of the glass panel. Each of the plurality of lands is disposed at a distance relative to the central axis different from one another.

Taper gauge assembly

A taper gauge assembly includes a plurality of gauges that each has a flat side and a tapered side. Each of the gauges has ruler indicia printed thereon for indicating the width of the gauges along a full length of the gauges. A selected one of the gauges is insertable into a gap between a reference fixture and an assembled part in a manufacturing setting. Moreover, the selected gauge is inserted downwardly until the flat side abuts a perimeter edge of the reference fixture and the tapered side abuts a perimeter edge of the assembled part. Thus, the perimeter edge the reference fixture and the perimeter edge of the assembled part is aligned with a respective point along the ruler indicia. In this way an inspection distance is defined between the reference fixture and the assembled part for performing a quality inspection.

Device for checking brake switch gap and method of using thereof
10976145 · 2021-04-13 · ·

A device for checking gap tolerance between an adjustable portion of a brake switch and a brake pedal includes a handle and one or more probes extending from the handle. Each of the one or more probes include jaw portions defining multiple stepped regions of increasing thickness with decreasing distance from the handle and a slot extending through the multiple stepped regions. The slot is configured to be inserted between the adjustable portion of the brake switch and the brake pedal. A dimensional tolerance of the slot in at least one of the stepped regions equals a preset gap tolerance between the adjustable portion of the brake switch and the brake pedal.

Tile spacing tool and method
10961723 · 2021-03-30 ·

A tile spacing tool is disclosed herein that spans a gap between tile rows where the gap is sized to receive a decorative insert or the like. The spacing tool spans the gap and transfers the weight of the upper tile rows across the gap to the lower tile rows, which are supported by a floor or ledge. As a result, the entire wall can be built including the decorative insert without waiting for the bottom tile rows to dry to support the weight of the tile rows above the decorative insert.

Three-dimensional calibration tools and methods
10928193 · 2021-02-23 · ·

This disclosure relates to methods and tools for calibrating a camera-based three-dimensional optical metrology system such as that used for non-contact measurement of strain in a materials test system. A tool is provided which holds a calibration plate within a test space of a load frame of a materials testing device. The tool includes a spindle which rotates around a rotational axis to a series of detent rotational positions. The spindle engages the calibration plate by a bearing configuration which allows the tilt angle of the calibration plate to be varied. The rotation of the spindle and the variation of the tilt angle provides for two degrees of freedom of movement within the test space. The resulting sequence of calibration plate positions is systematic and repeatable.

A marking and measuring device for assessing a need for a brake adjustment includes a shaft. A marking means is selectively couplable to a first end of the shaft, positioning a user to grasp the shaft proximate to a second end of the shaft and to manipulate the shaft so that the marking means leaves a mark on a push rod of a brake. A ruler is coupled to the shaft proximate to the second end. The shaft is configured to be grasped in the hand of the user proximate to the first end of the shaft, positioning the user to abut the second end to a brake cylinder so that the shaft is substantially parallel to the push rod. The ruler is configured to measure the distance traveled by the mark on the push rod when the brake is actuated to ascertain a need for a brake adjustment.
