Carpenter pencil caliper
Carpenter pencil caliper is a two-piece device that attaches to a carpenter's pencil with a scale, ruler imprint, or rule imprint on the carpenter's pencil wherein this three-piece assembly is then used as a caliper to measure the length, width, and/or height of a workpiece. This three-piece assembly may also be used to mark or scribe a line in a workpiece at a specific, precise, or measured location and/or mark or scribe a specifically sized or measured circle in a workpiece at a specific, precise, or measured location. The two-piece device is a specially designed and shaped to reversibly attach to a standard sized carpenter's pencil in order to perform the marking and/or scribing of the workpiece. A workpiece is a piece of building material such as wood, composite, or metal that is used to build a structure or a device.

METHOD FOR RAPIDLY MEASURING ROLLER PASS MAJOR SEMI-AXIS OF THREE-ROLLER REDUCING MILL
A method for rapidly measuring roller pass major semi-axis of three-roller reducing mill, the method comprising the following steps: selecting a corresponding value of the average diameter of an elliptical pass, a value of a first major semi-axis and a value of a minor semi-axis from a three-roller pass data table according to a rack station number of a special numerical control lathe; calculating a value of a first line segment according to an elliptic equation, the obtained value of the first major semi-axis, and the obtained value of the minor semi-axis; calculating a value of a second major semi-axis according to the right-angle triangle theorem and the value of the first line segment; measuring a first size value by attaching three claws of a three-claw internal micrometer to three roller gaps; or attaching one end of inner calipers to any roller gap, and attaching the other end to the bottom of a roller arc opposite the roller gap to obtain a second size value. The roller pass major semi-axis of the three-roller is reducing mill is measured, and the outer diameter precision and the surface quality of a steel pipe are improved.

CONNECTION VERIFICATION TOOL
A connection verification tool for verifying a secure connection between two fluid handling components of a fluid handling system. A connection verification tool can include a gauge portion sized sized to be placed over a first fluid handling component connected to a second fluid handling component to verify a secure connection between the two components. If the first fluid handling component is not securely connected to the second fluid handling component such that additional torque may be required to complete the connection between the two components, the gauge portion of the connection verification tool will not fit over the first component coupled to the second component.
MEASURING INSTRUMENT
A measuring instrument includes a measuring unit, an electric component unit and a pin jack. The electric component unit includes a signal processing part. The signal processing part is configured to calculate a measurement data based on a detection signal obtained by the measuring unit. The pin jack is provided in the electric component unit.

Controllable caliper
An embodiment of the invention is directed to an electronic caliper which combines positioning and measurement in one unit without the use of hydraulics for subsea use. In certain embodiments, several attachments can be affixed to accommodate a range of measurement tasks. In a preferred embodiment, one jaw is adjustable and the other, or opposing, jaw is fixed to a mounting structure. The jaws typically allow for the removal and replacement of other attachments. In another embodiment, the unit communicates to computer software for position control, precise indication and clamping for adjustment. In a preferred embodiment, computer software displays all feedback via laptop computer on surface. The caliper is maneuvered to a position proximate an object and used to measure a predetermined physical characteristic of the object. The measurement can be displayed using a computer with control software.

Apparatus for checking dimensions and/or shape of a mechanical part
An apparatus for checking dimensions and/or shape includes one or more feelers (7,8;9;67,68), three for preference, adapted to touch the surface of a mechanical part (2;61) to be checked, a transducer and/or display device (33;78) with a movable part (34;77), and a mechanical transmission assembly (20) to transmit to the movable part of the transducer and/or display device the displacements of the feeler/s. The mechanical transmission assembly includes a shaft (22) defining an axis (A) and a guiding element (30) adapted to house a guide portion (25) of the shaft. The shaft includes a resiliently deformable portion (26), that is preferably a reduced diameter portion having axial symmetry, in an intermediate position between the guide portion and an abutment portion (27).
