Angle Measuring Assembly
20220099425 · 2022-03-31 ·

An angle measuring assembly includes a protractor that is positionable against an inclined member. The protractor has angle indicia printed thereon and pitch indicia printed thereon. A bubble level is coupled to the protractor to indicate the angle of a top surface of the inclined member. A first wand is pivotally coupled to the protractor to facilitate the user to measure cutting angles on lumber. A second wand is pivotally coupled to the protractor and the second wand is aligned with respective angle indicia and respective pitch indicia when the protractor is positioned against a bottom surface of the inclined member. In this way the second wand indicate the angle and pitch of the bottom surface.

An L shaped versatile, combination construction square for a carpenter having measured marks for all common framing combinations about its six sides. A series of template openings, as well as two adjustable base arms able to set angles for setting plumb, lock into a position to cut rafter tails and birds mouths as well as stair treads and risers. It has a precise scale that accommodates a traditional carpenter's rectangular 3/16 inch wide pencil lead that allows for ⅛ inch increments that can be transferred the length of a board using the adjustable arms. It also functions as a framing square and a laser angle finder.

Magnetic pipe square level

A magnetic pipe square level comprising one or more magnetic members fused to an angle iron, a square that consists of a base member and a perpendicular member, the angle iron fused to the base member, one or more bubble levels attached to the square oriented in line with one or both of the base member and the perpendicular member, an anchor point attached to the perpendicular member, a track for a string line underneath the tip of the angle iron, a notch at the end of the track where the base member and the perpendicular member intersect and one or more sets of tick marks along an edge of the perpendicular member providing a reference point for a measurement.

ANGLE TRISECTOR, AS VALIDATED TO PERFORM ACCURATELY OVER A WIDE RANGE OF DEVICE SETTINGS BY A NOVEL GEOMETRIC FORMING PROCESS; ALSO CAPABLE OF PORTRAYING FINITE LENGTHS THAT ONLY COULD BE APPROXIMATED BY MEANS OF OTHERWISE APPLYING A COMPASS AND STRAIGHTEDGE TO A GIVEN LENGTH OF UNITY; THAT FURTHERMORE FUNCTIONS AS A LEVEL WHOSE INHERENT GEOMETRY COULD BE ADAPTED FOR MANY OTHER USES SUCH AS BEING INCORPORATED INTO THE DESIGN OF A HYDRAULIC CAR LIFT.

A newly proposed articulating invention, each of whose four constituent embodiments is designed to trisect any of a multitude of suitably described angles by means of becoming properly set to its designated magnitude; thus automatically portraying a motion related solution for the trisection of an angle that discloses complete routing details of a pathway that leads from such designated magnitude all the way back to its trisector; thereby discerning the whereabouts of certain intersection points which evade detection when attempting to otherwise locate them by means of applying only a straightedge and compass to an angle of such designated magnitude; furthermore projecting finite lengths of any trisector that bears cubic irrational trigonometric properties, being those that cannot be duplicated, but only approximated, when applying a straightedge and compass to a given length of unity; and being of a unique design that could be adapted to function as a level.

Metrology device with automated compensation and/or alert for orientation errors
11105605 · 2021-08-31 · ·

A metrology device with automated compensation and/or alert for orientation errors. The device may include a processor, a probe portion and at least one orientation sensor. The probe provides an output representative of a raw measurement of a characteristic of a device under test and the orientation sensor provides a sensor output representative of an orientation of the metrology device to the device under test. The processor applies a correction factor to the raw measurement in response to the sensor output to establish a compensated measurement to compensate for misalignment of the metrology device to the device under test. In addition, or alternatively, the processor provides an alert indicating the existence and/or extent of the misalignment.

Angle sensing device

An angle sensing device including a first object, a second object, a magnetic field source, and a first magnetic sensor is provided. The second object is adapted to be rotated with respect to the first object, so that an inclined angle of the second object with respect to the first object is changed. The magnetic field source is connected to the second object. The first magnetic sensor is connected to the first object, and configured to sense a magnetic field generated by the magnetic field source. When the second object is rotated with respect to the first object, the magnetic field sensed by the first magnetic sensor changes, so that an output signal of the first magnetic sensor corresponding to the magnetic field changes.
