Templating Device
A templating device for preparing beams includes a rod that has opposed ends, each of which is both slidably engageable and fixedly engageable to a first segment of a respective protractor of a pair of protractors, such that the first segment extends linearly from the rod. The first segment is pivotally engaged to a second segment, which is selectively fixably positionable relative to the first segment. The rod and the first segments are positioned between a pair of surfaces, with each second segment positioned flush to a respective surface. A user fixes the second segment relative to the first segment to provide a respective angle measurement and a length measurement between the surfaces, and then templates these measurements onto a beam. The user then can cut the beam to length, with the ends of the beam angled so that the beam fits between the pair of surfaces.
Instrument for in situ measurement of the angle of convergence in a dental preparation
An in situ measuring instrument of the convergence angle (CA) of a dental preparation or stump in the field of dentistry, applied to humans or other species, having a movable bar, and a support bar arranged parallel to each other and coupled perpendicularly and slidable relative to a central bar by a first guiding hole at one end of the central bar and a second guiding hole at one end of the support bar which allow the relative vertical movement of the movable bar and horizontal movement of the support bar, allowing both bars to be adjusted to the base of the stump. This instrument allows measuring both natural and artificial teeth and implants, as well as fixed and mobile prostheses, just as if any device attached to the tooth (artificial or implant) is desired to be installed.

Method and apparatus for determining acetabular component positioning
An instrument for establishing orientation of a pelvic prosthesis comprises a hub, a first arm attached to and extending from the hub, and a second arm attached to and extending from the hub. The first and second arms define a nominal plane of the apparatus, and may extend from the hub at an angle relative to each other. Distances between the first and second legs and between the first and third legs are adjustable. The first, second, and third legs have tips, and the tips of the first, second, and third legs define a plane having a predefined geometric relationship to the nominal plane of the apparatus.

Angle measuring device and method for operating an angle measuring device
An angle measuring device includes first and second component groups and a bearing. The first component group includes a scale element having a first graduation. The second component group has a first modular unit, including a position sensor, and a second modular unit, including first, second, and third position transducers, and a compensation coupling. The first and second modular units are connected in a torsionally stiff but axially and radially flexible manner. The angle measuring device is operable in first and second modes. In the first mode, the first graduation is scannable by the position sensor to determine a first angular position. In the second mode, the first graduation or a further graduation situated on the scale element is scannable by the position transducers to determine further angular positions. A corrected relative angular position is determinable based on the first angular position and the further angular positions.

Adjustable square
A stepwise and stepless adjustable square for use in carpentry, including: a stock; a blade; a first alignment structure; a second alignment structure; a spring device; a spring expansion-restricting element; and a knob movable between a first position and a second position, wherein in the first position the first and second alignment structures at certain angles between the stock and the blade align and engage such that a force of the spring device is reduced compared to the force at angles where the first and second alignment structures do not align for stepwise adjustment, and wherein in the second position the first alignment structure is moved axially away from the second alignment structure for stepless adjustment.
