BUILDING INSPECTION AND MEASUREMENT DEVICE
An inspection and measurement device includes a body defining a first planar face within a first bounded area, a first reference feature disposed on the first planar face within the first bounded area and corresponding with a first measurable parameter for structural inspection, and a second reference feature disposed on the first planar face within the first bounded area and corresponding with a second measurable parameter for structural inspection. The first and second reference features are positioned within the first bounded area for placement adjacent an element bearing the respective one of the first and second measurable parameters, and the first and second reference features overlap within the first bounded area in at least one direction.
Hand knife with integrated miter guide
A hand knife tool has alignment markings configured on its blade to help orientate the cutting edge of the knife tool across a workpiece to make a miter cut. A transverse axis is defined perpendicular to a substantially straight middle section of the cutting edge and bisecting the two faces of the knife blade. Each alignment marking is configured on the knife blade at an angle relative to the transverse axis. Each of the alignment markings visually delineate an alignment line substantially across the knife blade between the cutting edge and the blade back. When one of the alignment markings on the knife tool is aligned to the edge of a workpiece, it places the cutting edge of the knife tool across the workpiece at a substantially congruent angle. Then the knife can be pivoted upon its edge and then make a miter cut.

Scalable rules capable of creating size-adjustable circles, arcs, and curved shapes
A tool capable of creating and measuring circles and circular profiles of any size without the need for a pivoting center arm. Circle size can be selectively adjusted and held, and both the inside and outside of tool creates and measures circles of a near infinite number of size. The tool contains marking rules such as radius, diameter, arc length, circumference, sector area, area of a circle for any size circle, etc., obviating the need for calculating the same, and any or a combination of unit measure systems can be employed.

HAND TOOL WITH LANYARD ATTACHMENT LOOP
A hand tool with a lanyard attachment point has a hand tool body and a working side extending along a portion of the hand tool body and has a straight edge. A pin receiving recess in the hand tool body is parallel to and spaced from the straight edge. A channel extends into the working side transverse to the straight edge and intersects the pin receiving recess. A lanyard loop has an elongated, rigid loop body with a lanyard attaching loop end and a tool attaching end opposite the lanyard attaching loop end. The tool attaching end has a through opening transverse to the loop body where the tool attaching end is disposed in the first channel with the through opening aligned with the pin receiving recess. An anchor pin in the pin receiving recess retains the lanyard loop by extending through the through opening of the tool attaching end.
Fence Picket Alignment Tool and Method of Use
An alignment tool for aligning and installing a plurality of pickets on a fence segment. The alignment tool comprises a body portion, and a picket level indicator. One or more upper guides and a lower guide assembly can be separated by a guide gap. The guide gap is at least as wide as a first cross member height of a first cross member of the fence segment. The alignment tool is configured to selectively attach and slide along the first cross member of the fence segment and position the picket level indicator at a selected height relative to the first cross member. The one or more upper guides and the lower guide assembly are configured to slide a forward direction and a reverse direction on the first cross member.
Metrology Device with Automated Compensation and/or Alert for Orientation Errors
A metrology device with automated compensation and/or alert for orientation errors. The device may include a processor, a probe portion and at least one orientation sensor. The probe provides an output representative of a raw measurement of a characteristic of a device under test and the orientation sensor provides a sensor output representative of an orientation of the metrology device to the device under test. The processor applies a correction factor to the raw measurement in response to the sensor output to establish a compensated measurement to compensate for misalignment of the metrology device to the device under test. In addition, or alternatively, the processor provides an alert indicating the existence and/or extent of the misalignment.
Speed Square with Extension
A speed square is provided including a triangular flat plate having measurement markings indicated on at least one face, a T bar affixed to, and extending along, the length of a first side of the triangular flat plate, and an extension element hingedly connected to an end of second side of the triangular flat plate opposite the T bar. The extension element having measurement markings indicated on at least one face, such that the measurement markings of the triangular flat face continue on the extension element.
BUILDER'S MEASURING AND MARKING TOOL
A measuring and marking tool includes a planar member having a first side edge and a second side edge extending normal to the first side edge, and a third side sedge intersecting the first side edge and the second side edge to form a hypotenuse of a right triangle configuration. A first aperture is space apart inwardly from the third side edge and has a first straight edge parallel to the third side edge and a second straight edge positioned to form an obtuse angle with respect to the first straight edge of the first aperture. A second aperture is spaced apart inwardly from the third side edge and has a first straight edge parallel to the third side edge, and second straight edge spaced apart from the first straight edge of the second aperture, the second straight edge parallel to the second side edge.
