METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ULTRASONIC MOTOR AND SURVEYING INSTRUMENT FOR THE SAME
Provided is a method for controlling an ultrasonic motor to reduce deterioration of automatic tracking performance, and a surveying instrument for the same. The present invention provides a method for controlling an ultrasonic motor in a surveying instrument including a rotary shaft, an ultrasonic motor that drives a rotary shaft, a tracking unit that includes a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit and tracks a target, and a clock signal oscillation unit that outputs a clock signal, wherein at the time of low-speed rotation of the ultrasonic motor, based on the clock signal, a ratio of an acceleration period in which a drive signal is applied and a deceleration period in which the drive signal is stopped in a drive cycle of the drive signal of the ultrasonic motor is set, and the light emitting unit is made to emit light in the deceleration period.

A surveying instrument includes a distance measuring unit which irradiates an object with the distance measuring light and measures a distance to the object based on the reflected distance measuring light from the object, wherein the distance measuring unit includes a distance measuring light projecting module configured to project the distance measuring light and a distance measuring light receiving module configured to receive the reflected distance measuring light, the distance measuring light receiving module includes a dichroic prism and a light receiving module, and the dichroic prism is configured in such a manner that the reflected distance measuring light is internally reflected in the dichroic prism at least three times and then received by the light receiving module.

An apparatus for locating, inspecting, or placing marks on a roadway. The apparatus includes a GPS-based machine vision locator for sampling discrete geographical location data of a pre-existing roadway mark evident on the roadway. A computer may determine a continuous smooth geographical location function fitted to the sampled geographical location data. A marker is responsive to the GPS-based locator and geographical location function for replicating automatically the pre-existing roadway mark onto the roadway. The apparatus is typically part of a moving vehicle. A related method is disclosed for locating, inspecting, and placing marks on a resurfaced roadway. A similar apparatus can be used to guide a vehicle having a snow plow along a snow-covered roadway, or a paving machine along an unpaved roadway surface. The apparatus provides for accurate determination of roadway mark locations, roadway mark inspection apparatus and roadway markers using Bayesian model-based filtered enhanced GPS geographical location data.

A field surveying and regulating method applied on at least one monitoring electronic device enables at least one manager to add at least one project and at least one specific location (spot) for obtaining soil samples and to edit the at least one project and the at least one spot on an online map. The method allows the manager to assign at least one soil drill and at least one drill operator for each project and each spot. The method enables the manager to view information as to position of each soil drill, depth for sampling by each soil drill, sampling time spent, actual work done by each soil drill, and photos of work by each soil drill in sampling. The hollow cage member includes a first contact surface and a first opening therethrough. The first contact surface includes a substantially planar portion and an elastically deformable sealing lip extending therefrom. The conduit includes a second contact surface and a second opening therethrough. The sealing lip of the first contact surface is configured to contact the second contact surface to form a seal between the hollow cage member and the conduit.
