Method and an arrangement for aligning elevator guide rails

A method and arrangement for aligning elevator guide rails includes measuring the position of two opposite guide rails in respect of the direction between guide rails (DGB) direction and the back to front wall direction (BTF) direction with a plumb line and a measurement device arranged at each guide rail. Each measurement device includes a guide shoe supported on at least two guide surfaces of the guide rail, a measurement frame connected to the guide shoe, and a sensor for sensing the position of the plumb line in respect of the measurement frame. The twist of the guide rails is measured with a wire extending between the two measurement devices and an edge sensor arranged in connection with at least one of the two measurement devices.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR DOCUMENTING GROUND ASSETS AND ASSOCIATED UTILITY LINES

The present application relates to apparatuses, systems, and methods for mapping utility lines that includes the identification and use of ground assets. Such ground assets may be identifiable aspects along the ground surface that may be of interest or use, including mapping of utility locating. Further, updating to ground asset locations and yaw/orientations may be applied in maps such that utility line positions relative to such ground assets may be more accurately known by future excavation operations.

A level for hanging objects designed to receive one or more marks from a writing utensil. The level includes a plurality of edges, a leveling component, a slit, and a writing surface. The leveling component indicates an orientation of the level (e.g., horizontal, vertical). The writing surface receives marks from the writing utensil and is designed for the received marks to be removed (e.g., erasure).

Target and plumbing system for transferring a point of interest on a jobsite surface

A target and plumbing system includes a reflective target. A self-leveling plumb line laser pointer emits a plumb line laser beam having a pathway that is in a vertical direction where the vertical direction is substantially parallel to a gravitational direction. A holding device includes a first holding element and a second holding element. A positioning device includes a first positioning element and a second positioning element where the holding device is connected to the positioning device, the self-leveling plumb line laser pointer is connected to the first positioning element, and the first positioning element is movable with respect to the second positioning element. The holding device is connected to the first positioning element, the second positioning element is a platform including an open space that defines a horizontal two-dimensional area, and the first positioning element is movable with respect to the open space.

PILE INSTALLATION CONFIRMATION INSTRUMENT

An instrument for ensuring proper pile installation in photovoltaic systems (PV) may include a laser assembly configured to output a first beam in a first direction and a second beam in a second direction. The second beam may indicate the angular tolerance of a torque tube. The instrument may further include a mounting interface configured to position the laser assembly on a mounting pile.
