METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING AN ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL WITH UNCERTAIN STARTING LOCATION
An approach is provided for providing an estimated time of arrival (ETA) with a uncertain starting location. The approach, for example, involves determining an uncertainty time window that spans from a timestamp of a location point of a sparse location data feed to a time of interest. The approach also involves determining a speed of the device at the location point based on the location data feed. The approach further involves processing map data based on the speed to predict possible locations to which the device may have traveled during the uncertainty time window and to determine one or more respective probabilities of the device has traveled to the possible locations. The approach further involves determining respective ETA at a destination from the possible locations. The approach further involves calculating a total estimated time of arrival based on the respective estimated times of arrival and the respective probabilities.
AUTONOMOUS DRIVING SYSTEM AND AUTONOMOUS DRIVING METHOD
Disclosed herein an autonomous driving system includes a first sensor installed in a vehicle, having a field of view facing in front of the vehicle, and configured to acquire front image data; a second sensor selected from the group consisting of a radar and a light detection and ranging (lidar), installed in the vehicle, having a detection field of view facing in front of the vehicle, and configured to acquire forward detection data; a communicator configured to receive a high definition map at a current location of the vehicle from an external server; and a controller including a processor configured to process the high definition map, the front image data, and the forward detection data; wherein the controller is configured to calculate a first distance between the vehicle and a right road boundary line and a second distance between the vehicle and a left road boundary line in response to processing the front image data and the forward detection data, calculate a third distance between the vehicle and the right road boundary line and a fourth distance between the vehicle and the left road boundary line in response to processing the high definition map, and determine a map quality index of the high definition map based on the first distance, the second distance, the third distance, and the fourth distance, and determine an error of the high definition map based on the map quality index.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE NAVIGATION
Systems and methods are provided for autonomous vehicle navigation. The systems and methods may map a lane mark, may map a directional arrow, selectively harvest road information based on data quality, map road segment free spaces, map traffic lights and determine traffic light relevancy, and map traffic lights and associated traffic light cycle times.
A Display System
A display system is described, for placement of a display above, below or beside the normal gaze of a user, to impart simple information to the user by means of selective driving of a plurality of light emitting elements.
Flight control method and apparatus, and control device
A flight control method includes obtaining route data for instructing an aircraft to fly on a route represented by the route data, analyzing the route data according to a preset splitting condition, splitting the route into multiple sub-routes in response to the route data satisfying the preset splitting condition, and determining a to-be-executed sub-route from the multiple sub-routes and transmitting the to-be-executed sub-route to the aircraft.
NAVIGATION AND MAPPING BASED ON DETECTED ARROW ORIENTATION
A system for vehicle navigation is provided. The system includes at least one processing circuitry programmed to receive via a data interface one or more images captured by one or more cameras representative of an environment of a vehicle, identify, based on analysis of the one or more images, at least one direction of at least one directional arrow on a road surface in the one or more images, determine a direction of travel for the vehicle based on the at least one direction of the at least one directional arrow on the road surface, determine at least one navigational action for the vehicle based on the determined direction of travel for the vehicle, and cause one or more actuator systems of the vehicle to implement the determined at least one navigational action for the vehicle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TESTING MAP SERVICE
A method and apparatus for testing a map service are provided. The method may include: determining a to-be-screened service request based on a service request of an electronic map recorded in advance at a preset sampling frequency; screening the to-be-screened service request by using a static rule, to obtain a first valid service request set; screening the to-be-screened service request by using a dynamic test step, to obtain a second valid service request set; and testing a service of the electronic map based on the first valid service request set and the second valid service request set.
Information system, information processing method, and program
An information system comprises a selector configured to select one or more mobile shop vehicles each of which functions as a meeting place for users who utilize a shopping district composed of mobile shop vehicles, from a group of the mobile shop vehicles allowed to gather in a predetermined area in order to construct the shopping district composed of the mobile shop vehicles to provide services of different classifications in a composite manner; and a manager configured to instruct the one or more mobile shop vehicles each of which functions as the meeting place to cause a change into an appearance with which it is possible for the users to distinguish, in a differentiated manner, that each of the one or more mobile shop vehicles is the meeting place in the shopping district composed of the mobile shop vehicles.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREDICTING CARJACKINGS
A method, apparatus, and user interface for providing a carjacking detection and prediction system is disclosed. For example, image data of at least one vehicle may be obtained and a carjacking indicator for the vehicle based on the obtained image data is determined. One or more road segments may then be identified, and the determined indicator is associated with the one or more identified road segments to update a map layer of a geographic database and/or perform other actions.
Satellite Search Method and Apparatus
A satellite search method is applied to a mobile terminal. The satellite search method includes determining, based on location information of the mobile terminal, location information of an available satellite, and three-dimensional (3D) map information, whether a direct line of sight between the mobile terminal and the available satellite is blocked by an obstacle, and determining location information of a target area based on the 3D map information when the direct line of sight is blocked by the obstacle, where the target area includes a direct line of sight between the mobile terminal and the available satellite.
