Embodiments comprise a breast prosthesis. The prosthesis includes a body and a set of straps. In some embodiments, the body is comprised of a cover, on which the straps are disposed, and internal components. The straps connect the body to the person's undergarment in such a way that doesn't need sewing to the undergarment itself. The straps also hold the prosthesis in place, such that it doesn't shift or move, or does so very minimally. A person can use their own bra or similar garment of their choosing, instead of having to purchase a special mastectomy bra.

The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a customized breast prosthesis in such a manner as to perform three-dimensional scanning of user's body and apply the same shape, the same volume, and the same density as the actual breast to have the same weight, a system for manufacturing the same, a computer program and computer-readable record medium for the same, a customized breast prosthesis manufacture by the above method, and a customized correction brassiere for accommodating the customized breast prosthesis.

Example embodiments of the present general inventive concept provide a postsurgical convalescence shirt including a placket to open and close the convalescence shirt, and one or more receiving compartments provided inside the convalescence shirt proximate a lower portion thereof, and configured to receive a drain reservoir connected to drainage tubing to drain fluid from a surgical area of a patient's body.

A breast prosthesis comprises a resiliently-compliant silicone shell (1;11) which has an outer wall (2;12) configured to simulate the shape of a female breast. The wall (2;12) is fretted with an ornamental pattern of perforations (6;16) that vent the internal cavity (4;14) of the shell (1;11), and ribs (5;15) within the cavity (4;14) extend across it in resiliently supporting and retaining the breast-shape of the shell (1;11). A single length of enhanced and contoured foam padding with two, integral breast mounds for the mastectomy patient is disclosed. This single length of enhanced padding is intended to be secured into a garment or adhered to the skin to restore a natural looking breast mound appearance in clothing while offering padded comfort over the sensitive areas caused by mastectomy.

An asymmetric brassiere for use with a prosthetic breast is disclosed. The asymmetric brassiere provides a front closure, which provides greater support for the front of the user's body, and enables fastening without shifting the position of the prosthetic. Further, a conductive fabric is provided which cups under the prosthetic. The asymmetric brassiere provides a user's pre-surgery appearance and equilibrium at a reasonable cost.

A post-surgery brassiere garment for a wearer comprising a connection means comprising strap means operable to secure the brassiere garment over shoulders of the wearer, and a band region to enclose a portion of the torso of the wearer to secure the brassiere garment to the wearer; a first adjustment means operable to adjustably close the band region of the brassiere garment, and a second adjustment means operable to adjustably connect the strap means to a front region of the band region of the brassiere garment, whereby, the first and second adjustment means are together operable to adjustably compress the torso of the wearer in region of the wearers chest.
