LOW ETENDUE LIGHT SOURCE FOR FIBER OPTIC SENSORS IN HIGH TEMPERATURE ENVIRONMENTS
A fiber optic sensor to determine a property in an environment with a temperature exceeding 150 degrees Celsius includes a light source to emit broadband light, an etendue of the light source being less than 1000 square micro meter-steradians (μm.sup.2 sr), and an optical fiber to carry incident light based on the broadband light and a reflection resulting from the incident light. A photodetector detects a resultant light based on the reflection and outputs an electrical signal, and a processor processes the electrical signal from the photodetector to determine the property.
Keycap, illuminating keyswitch having the same and method for manufacturing the same
A keycap, an illuminating keyswitch and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The illuminating keyswitch comprises a base plate, a printed circuit board, a light emitting element, a keycap and a lifting support structure. The printed circuit board is disposed on the base plate. The light emitting element electrically is connected to the printed circuit board. The keycap is disposed on the light emitting element. The lifting support structure is disposed between the base plate and the keycap. The keycap comprises a first injection layer and a second injection layer. The second injection layer covers the first injection layer. The light emitting element is configured to correspond to the first injection layer or the second injection layer. The keyswitch of the present invention covers the first injection layer through the second injection layer, so that the surface of the key cap is flat, thereby facilitating subsequent processing.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a liquid crystal panel providing a display surface where an image is displayed, a backlight emitting light to the liquid crystal panel from behind, a real object placed between the liquid crystal panel and the backlight and visible through the liquid crystal panel, and a controller controlling the liquid crystal panel such that a specific pixel region of the display surface behind which the real object is positioned is higher in light transmittance than another pixel region of the display surface.
SMART CONNECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
An instrument cluster for a vehicle, includes: a master microcontroller being powered by a power source regulated by a power regulator module; one or more input sources electrically configured to provide one or more inputs to the master microcontroller through a signal conditioning circuit; and one or more output sources configured to receive one or more outputs from the master microcontroller. The master microcontroller is connected to at least two wireless modules. The master microcontroller is configured to provide instruction to a secondary wireless module of a communication device to display an output on the one or more output sources and the communication device. The master microcontroller is configured to receive instruction from the secondary wireless module of the communication device to display the output on the one or more output sources.
Moving indicator for an analogue display device
A moving indicator for an analogue display device, in particular for a timepiece. The indicator includes a multi-layer part including an opaque metal layer and a transparent light guide layer and forming a body and a head of the indicator. The head is centred relative to a rotational axis of the indicator and arranged to receive a luminous flux on the bottom face thereof. A fluorescent material is arranged on the transparent light guide layer at the head of the indicator to absorb at least part of said luminous flux and to re-emit a second luminous fluorescence flux in the transparent light guide layer. Other aspects comprise a set of indicators, a display device and a watch comprising one or more moving indicators.
STAND-ALONE INSPECTION APPARATUS FOR USE IN A MANUFACTURING FACILITY
An inspection apparatus includes a portable housing and at least one handle structure integrally formed with the portable housing. The inspection apparatus further includes a vision data system, a lighting system, a user interface system, a wireless communication system, and a controller. The vision data system includes one or more cameras provided on the first face of the portable housing. The vision data system is operable to capture component data. The lighting system is arranged with the vision data system at the first face. The lighting system includes diffused light emitting diode (LED) ring arranged around at least one of the one or more cameras. The manufacturing inspection apparatus is a stand-alone and all-in-one computing device. The manufacturing inspection apparatus processes and stores inspection data locally.
