An angle sensor generates an angle detection value based on a first and a second detection signal. A correction apparatus performs correction processing for generating a first corrected detection signal by adding a first correction value to the first detection signal and generating a second corrected detection signal by adding a second correction value to the second detection signal. When an angle to be detected varies with a period T and if no correction processing is performed, the angle detection value contains an Nth-order angle error component varying with a period of T/N. Each of the first and second detection signals contains an (N−1)th-order signal error component and an (N+1)th-order signal error component. The order of the first and second correction values is N−1 or N+1.

Improved systems and methods for laboratory instrument calibration. A laboratory instrument retrieves a number of sets of past quality control parameters from a data structure. Each set includes a recovered value and a timestamp. The recovered value is equal to an output value adjusted by an initial calibration factor. The laboratory instrument determines that the number of sets is greater than a threshold and that each of the past quality control parameters has a timestamp that is within a time threshold. The laboratory instrument computes an updated calibration factor such that when the updated calibration factor is applied to a representative value of the recovered values, the representative value equals the expected recovered value. The instrument updates the data structure with the calibration factor such that the calibration factor is used in subsequent testing of patient specimens.

A high-frequency dynamic pressure transducer calibration system and method is provided. The method directs a source onto a diaphragm of a dynamic pressure transducer. An oscillating voltage at a target frequency (or range of frequencies) is generated. The oscillating voltage is coupled to an electrical connector of the dynamic pressure transducer. A deflection pattern of the diaphragm is recorded. The dynamic pressure transducer is calibrated by correlating magnitude of the deflection pattern with the oscillating voltage as a function of the target frequency (or range of frequencies).

The disclosed embodiments include a method, apparatus, and computer program product for generating a cross-sensor standardization model. For example, one disclosed embodiment includes a system that includes at least one processor; at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions that when executed by the at least one processor performs operations comprising selecting a representative sensor from a group of sensors comprising at least one of same primary optical elements and similar synthetic optical responses and calibrating a cross-sensor standardization model based on a matched data pair for each sensor in the group of sensors and for the representative sensor. In one embodiment, the at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions that when executed by the at least one processor performs operations further comprises generating the matched data pair, wherein the matched data pair comprises calibration input data and calibration output data.

An adaptive automobile meter detection method based on character segmentation cascade classifier which processes threshold segmentation, morphology and connected components analysis on the original image; extracts the pointer based on the contour analysis method, establishes a pointer information list; constructs a character segmentation cascade classifier by combining a HOG/SVM character segmentation classifier, a character filter and a CNN digit classifier. The character segmentation cascade classifiers is used to identify the digit character area of the automobile meter. Region analysis is performed to extract tick marks based on the center of the digit character area. The angular position corresponding to the tick mark is determined. The response value corresponding to the pointer is determined by establishing the Newton interpolation linear description relationship between the pointer angle and the response value and then the meter is classified as pass or fail. The invention is suitable for the field of visual inspection of automobile meter pointers.
