DOWNHOLE FLOWMETER
An intelligent completion module includes a flowmeter that uses one or more electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) sensors and a flow control valve. The flow rate and the speed of sound in the production fluid from a production zone is measured and used to make reservoir management decisions. The flowmeter includes at least two EMAT rings, including one or more EMAT sensors in a circular distribution which can be used in propagation or pulse-echo modes. In a segregated flow regime, a single EMAT sensor in pulse-echo mode is used to measure holdups of fluid components.

COUPLING MEMBER WITH SENSOR
A coupling member for coupling components within a coolant circuit includes a conduit having a first end configured to couple to a first component and a second end configured to couple to a second component, wherein, in use, a coolant fluid passes from the first component to the second component through the conduit. The coupling member further includes a sensor integral with the conduit and positioned between the first and second ends of the conduit, the sensor being configured to detect the presence of gas or air within the conduit.

An apparatus for measuring at least one of the level and the velocity of a media in a channel, the apparatus including a remote measuring device which comprises: a sensing unit having at least one sensing assembly arranged to measure at least one of the level and the velocity of the media, a two-wire interface arranged to receive power from an external power source and permit data transfer between the sensing assembly and an external control unit over the two-wire interface, an energy store for storing energy transmitted to the measurement device over the two-wire interface, a controller, and characterised in that the remote measuring device further comprises: an indicator means for providing in-situ feedback to a user on the status of the measuring device, and a switching means which is operable in response to signals from the controller to selectively connect each of the sensing unit and the indicator means to the energy store.

Disclosed is an optical fiber flow velocity measuring apparatus and method integrating high and low ranges. The apparatus includes an integrated optical fiber flow velocity sensor, the integrated optical fiber flow velocity sensor includes a sensor body; a fluid channel, a fluid through hole, a full-pressure channel, a static-pressure channel, a low-pressure chamber and a high-pressure chamber are provided inside the sensor body; a first optical fiber sensing element is provided between the low-pressure chamber and the high-pressure chamber; a second optical fiber sensing element is provided in the fluid through hole and is perpendicular to a flow direction of a fluid to be measured; the first optical fiber sensing element and the second optical fiber sensing element are sequentially connected in series through a single-mode optical fiber; both ends of the single-mode optical fiber are connected into a wavelength division multiplexer; a pump light source is connected with the wavelength division multiplexer through a common optical fiber; an optical fiber grating demodulator is connected with the wavelength division multiplexer through a common optical fiber; and a flow velocity arithmetic unit is electrically connected with a optical fiber grating demodulator. It's an object of the present disclosure to solve the problems that the electric circuit is too complicated and that it is not easy to integrate in one apparatus when flow velocity conversion devices based on different principles are integrated.
