Granular metering system

An additive feeder assembly includes a supply reservoir having an outlet and an outlet tube having a first end in fluid communication with the outlet and a second end located vertically higher than the supply reservoir. An air stream transports a first granular material discharged from the supply reservoir and into the first end of the outlet tube to the second end of the outlet tube. A granular material distributor is in fluid communication with the second end of the outlet tube. The granular material distributor has a top end configured for attachment to a feed supply for a second granular material, a central portion located vertically below the top end and configured to mix the first granular material and the second granular material, and a bottom end configured for vertically discharging the mixed first granular material and second granular material.

Seeding system

A seeding system includes a commodity tank configured to store a commodity. The commodity tank has a first outlet and a second outlet. A volumetric meter has a meter inlet at the first outlet of the commodity tank, a meter outlet, and a metering device between the meter inlet and the meter outlet. A manifold has a commodity inlet at the outlet of the volumetric meter, an air inlet, and a manifold outlet. A first dispersion device has a plurality of outlets and an inlet in communication with the manifold outlet. A second dispersion device has a plurality of outlets and an inlet in communication with the second outlet of the commodity tank. The second outlet of the commodity tank bypasses the volumetric meter.

An apparatus is provided for measuring the flow of powders and granular materials through orifices under dynamic conditions. The apparatus consists of a container for receiving a material sample to be investigated with one or more orifices, a means of moving the container to initiate flow in the material sample and to allow it to flow through the orifices in the container, and a means of measuring the amount of material flowing through the orifices. The amount and rate of material flowing through the orifices is a measure of the flowability of the material sample.

A flow control system for controlling flow of materials such as seeds or fertilizer as the materials are fed into a manifold and meter unit of an air seeder. The flow control system generally includes a flow controller which is connected between a volume of materials, such as a tank, and a manifold of an air seeder. The flow controller is adapted to control flow of the materials into the manifold to be metered by a meter unit. The flow controller includes a plurality of movable gates; with each gate being adapted to selectively open or close a corresponding opening in the flow controller. The gates may be manually adjusted, such as by a handle, or may be automatically adjusted, such as by actuators. By selectively opening or closing various gates, the volume and speed of flow of materials into the manifold may be easily and efficiently adjusted.

A system for distributing seeds includes a storage tank operable to store a plurality of seeds. A seed-on-demand distribution system is operable to transfer at least some seeds of the plurality of seeds from the storage tank to a distribution system outlet. A dispersion unit has an inlet, a first outlet, and a second outlet. The inlet is in communication with the distribution system outlet. The first outlet is in communication with a first secondary conduit. The second outlet is in communication with a second secondary conduit. A first volumetric meter is operable to volumetrically meter at least some seeds of the plurality of seeds from the first secondary conduit. A second volumetric meter is operable to volumetrically meter at least some seeds of the plurality of seeds from the secondary conduit.

Automated food production kiosk

In one embodiment, the present disclosure includes an automated food production kiosk. Embodiments of a kiosk may comprise a robotic system having a reach. A plurality of food ingredient dispensers may be configured around the robotic system. Each dispenser may have a physical interface within a reach of the robotic system to receive an item. One or more physical processing units have a physical interface within the reach of the robotic system to receive the item. The kiosk may prepare food items under control of a local server, a cloud server, or both, for example.
