Wearable Therapy System
A wearable therapy system comprises a therapy pack, a therapy pack holder including a body and a first fastener system, the body being configured to removably receive the therapy pack, and a therapy garment configured to be worn by a user and comprising at least one attachment area including a second fastener system. The therapy pack holder is removably attachable to the attachment area in a plurality of positions with the first fastener system engaging the second fastener system to secure the therapy pack in relation to the therapy garment.
Dermal heatsink exhibiting hydrophilic and contaminant resistant properties and method for fabricating a dermal heatsink
One variation of a method for fabricating a dermal heatsink includes: fabricating a substrate defining an interior surface, an exterior surface opposite the interior surface, and an open network of pores extending between the interior surface and the exterior surface; activating surfaces of the substrate and walls of the open network of pores; applying a coating over the substrate to form a heatsink, the coating comprising a porous, hydrophilic material and defining a void network; removing an excess of the coating from the substrate to clear blockages within the open network of pores by the coating; hydrating the heatsink during a curing period; heating the heatsink during the curing period to increase porosity of the coating applied over surfaces of the substrate; and rinsing the heatsink with an acid to decarbonate the coating along walls of the open network of pores in the substrate.
Pocketed Neck Scarf
A pocketed neck scarf for easy wrapping and storing pocket warmers includes a scarf body having a bottom side and a top side. The scarf body comprises a base section and a pair of arms extending from the base section. One of the pair of arms is a looped arm and the other arm is a straight arm that is selectively engageable through the looped arm to secure the scarf body around a user's neck with the base section resting on her upper back. The base section has a plurality of pockets on the top side with each pocket configured to receive a pocket warmer.
SPORTS PERFORMANCE VEST THAT FACILITATES ABSORPTION OF PERSPIRATION AND REGULATES BODY TEMPERATURE
A sports apparel item made from fabric that is used for wiping perspiration, regulating human body temperature and for covering the top of the head, chest, neck and back, which includes a hood with draw string and an opening in the back for long hair to pass through the invention, attached to an opening in the center of a diamond shaped, vest like, moisture -absorbent garment, that has been folded into an inverse triangle. The front of the garment is identified by the split directly up the center of the chest, which creates two separate vertical finished edges that make it possible for it to be donned like a vest, and to easily wipe perspiration from the head and face on the go without having to remove the invention.
Multifilament fiber and method of making same
A multipolymer fiber comprising a polyester phase formed from at least one polyester resin, present at between about 50 to about 95 percent by weight and a polyamide phase formed from at least one polyamide resin, present at between about 5 to about 50 percent by weight, wherein the polyamide phase is distinct from the polyester phase and comprises a plurality of polyamide fibrils dispersed in the polyester phase, and wherein the polyamide fibrils are separately distinguishable from each other.
ARM WARMING DEVICE
An arm warming device including a sleeve. A shoulder cover is connected to a proximal end of the sleeve. A strap is connected to the shoulder cover to secure the arm warming device to the user. A heating element is disposed within the sleeve for applying heat to the arm of the user. The heating element comprises far infrared fiber material. The sleeve includes an interior layer, a central layer, and an outer layer of a substantially waterproof material. The heating element is integrated with the central layer for applying heat to the arm of the user.
Integrated cooling and hydration vest
An integrated cooling and hydration vest, incorporating a vest like structure made from liquid impervious material, the vest having at least one chamber formed therein, the chamber being structured into an upper section and a bottom section, a divider provided between the upper and bottom sections, at least one aperture provided through the divider to allow frozen material deposited within the upper section as it melts to gravitate into the bottom section during usage, and a syphoning device operative being associated with said chamber to allow the user to extract the melted liquid from the bottom section for consumption during usage.
Heat Therapy Leggings
Heat therapy leggings are described herein. The heat therapy leggings may include a double walled waistband. The double walled waistband may include an interior pocket to cover the front torso/midsection or lower back. The heat therapy leggings may be front to back reversible. A heat patch may be inserted into the interior pocket to provide relief from menstrual cramps.
Therapeutic Garment
A therapeutic garment for cooling an arm of a user includes a vest that is configured to position over a torso of the user. A sleeve is coupled to and extends from a circumference of an armhole of the vest so that the sleeve is configured to insert the arm of the user. The sleeve comprises an inner layer that is coupled to an outer layer so that the inner layer and the outer layer define an interior space. The interior space extends from a cuff of the sleeve to the armhole. An orifice is positioned in the outer layer proximate to the armhole. The orifice is configured to selectively insert a cooling material into the interior space, positioning the cooling material to cool the arm of the user. A closure is coupled to the outer layer proximate to the orifice and is positioned to selectively and sealably close the orifice.
DERMAL HEATSINK EXHIBITING HYDROPHILIC AND CONTAMINANT RESISTANT PROPERTIES AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING A DERMAL HEATSINK
