DNOX DOSING TESTER AND METHOD
20170356318 · 2017-12-14 ·

An arrangement for testing or treating a dosing valve of a dosing device of a dosing system in a vehicle includes connecting an electrical test drive to an electrical connector of the dosing device and connecting a dosing tester to a liquid inlet of the dosing device. Thereafter, an outlet valve of the dosing tester is opened to provide liquid under pressure to a liquid inlet of the dosing device. After a first given time, the electrical test drive provides pulses to repeatedly attempt to open the dosing valve. Upon a reduction in liquid level of liquid within the dosing tester in response to opening of the dosing valve, an operator closes the outlet valve of the dosing tester to discontinue the treatment.

Methods and systems for determining a base field prover volume of a field prover include connecting together a transfer meter assembly, a master prover, and the field prover in series. A flow of fluid at a first flow rate is provided and a calibration sequence is performed at the flow rate. The calibration sequence includes counting pulses generated by the transfer meter assembly over a duration of each pass of the master prover and a pass of the field prover. An intermediate calibrated field prover volume is determined from a ratio of the field prover pulse count to the average master prover pulse count, multiplied by a base master prover volume. The calibration sequence can be repeated to provide at least three intermediate calibrated field prover volumes at the first flow rate. The calibration sequence can be repeated at different flow rates to arrive at the base field prover volume.

The dispenser also includes a processor, memory, a dose count stored in memory that is indicative of the number of doses in a full refill unit, a level sensor for detecting a predetermined level the refill unit and a dispense count indicative of the number doses of product dispensed from the refill unit. In addition, the dispenser includes memory and has logic stored in the memory for recalibrating the number of doses remaining in the refill unit as a function of the dose count, the number of doses of product dispensed and the predetermined level of product. The number of doses of product remaining in the refill unit may be displayed on the dispenser, on a remote station, or on both the dispenser and a remote station.

Metrology method for transient gas flow

A method of calculating a transient flow rate of a flowed process gas comprises flowing process gas through a mass flow controller into a chamber of known volume and measuring successive data sample points which include pressure data, temperature data, and a time value for each successive data sample point. Groups of successive data sample points are identified wherein each group shares one or more successive data sample points with another group, and ratio values are calculated for each of the successive data sample points wherein each ratio value is a ratio between the pressure data and a product of temperature and gas compressibility data for each respective time value. A line of best fit of the ratio values is determined within at least one group, and then the transient flow rate of the flowed process gas is calculated using a pressure rate of rise technique wherein the pressure rate of rise technique utilizes a ratio value determined from the line of best fit for at least one time value within the at least one group.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SINGLE PARTICLE DEPOSITION
20170274689 · 2017-09-28 · ·

A method of depositing single particles onto a target comprises the steps of loading a particle suspension to a droplet dispenser having a suspension reservoir and a nozzle section, detecting particles in the nozzle section, testing a single particle condition of the droplet dispenser, wherein it is determined whether an ejection region of the nozzle section includes one single particle, and operating the droplet dispenser for dispensing a droplet, wherein the droplet is dispensed onto the target, if the single particle condition is fulfilled, or the droplet is dispensed into a collection reservoir, if the single particle condition is not fulfilled, wherein the step of testing the single particle condition further includes determining whether a sedimentation region adjacent to the ejection region is free of particles. Furthermore, a dispenser apparatus dispensing single particles onto a target is described.
