Impact force dampening and defusing structure
An impact force dampening and defusing structure includes a plurality of components arranged in a grid array. A component has a three-dimensional geometric shape that includes an impact receiving surface area and an impact defusing surface area. The impact defusing surface area is larger than, and a distance d from, the impact receiving surface area. The component includes a material composition and, when an impact force strikes the impact receiving surface area of the component and the impact force dampening and defusing structure is in position to protect a body part, the component contributes to reducing pressure on the body part based on the material composition, the distance d, the impact receiving surface area, and the impact defusing surface area.
Knee Wear and Protection
A protective clothing equipment is provided that is comfortable, stabilizing, and compatible with varying types of surfaces. One embodiment of the protective clothing equipment includes a thigh support, a brace coupled to the thigh support, and padding disposed in front of the knee of the wearer.
PROTECTIVE SUIT
The present invention relates to a protective upper and lower body assemblies and protective suit comprising the same. The protective upper body assembly comprises a ventral and a dorsal padding panels, a left and a right shoulder fasteners, and a left and a right flank fasteners. Each of the ventral and the dorsal padding panels include at least two layers of resiliently compressible material and one layer of breathable material. The protective lower assembly comprises a left and a right upper thigh portions, a left and a right lower thigh portions, a left and a right knee shells, a left and a right lower leg portions, and a left and a right feet shells.
SMART GEAR APPARATUS
A smart gear apparatus is provided. The smart gear apparatus includes wearable material, a smart material pad and a control element. The smart material pad is integrated with or at least partially encased in the wearable material and includes smart material having a variable hardness and a control element. The control element is operably coupled to the smart material pad and is configured to adjust the variable hardness of the smart material thereof.
Detachable Protective Pads
A detachable protective pad may attach to an article of clothing and allow a person to work comfortably for long periods of time. It may be used in various applications to protect various body regions such as knees or elbows, from abrasions, discomfort, and moisture, or other risks.
JOINT PAD ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure provides an improved joint pad assembly, which includes a socket assembly that is canted and is configured to distribute an applied force to a lateral edge surface of the socket assembly. The socket assembly is asymmetrical in design and includes an aperture that is offset from the joint it is configured to receive.
HOCKEY GOALKEEPER LEG PADS
Hockey goalkeeper leg pads wearable on legs of a hockey goalkeeper to protect the legs, in which the hockey goalkeeper leg pads may be configured to enhance performance, comfort and/or other aspects of goalkeeping of the hockey goalkeeper, including when the hockey goalkeeper leg pads drop onto a playing surface (e.g., ice) to lie substantially horizontally on the playing surface with their front facing play (e.g., as in a butterfly position or otherwise).
ADAPTIVE CLOTHING
The invention involves a pair of adaptive pants. In exemplary embodiments, the adaptive pants include a waistband having a drawstring and no buttons or belt loops. Moreover, at least one of the pair of legs extending from the waistband include an inseam pocket. Furthermore, ventilation ports may be included at an interior or seam region on each pant leg, or alternatively behind the knee area of each pant leg. Additionally, a posterior ventilation may be provided at a rear section of the adaptive pants situated between the waistband and the pair of legs. In exemplary embodiments, an elongated fly connects or attaches the pair of legs and the waistband. In some exemplary embodiments, the waistband comprises a first material and the pair of legs comprise of a second material.
FEMUR/HIP PROTECTION SYSTEM
Embodiments of a femur and/or hip protection system are disclosed. The device comprises a waist belt; a posterior assembly coupled to waist belt and having a center pad; a first leg assembly coupled to the waist belt and positioned on one side of the posterior assembly having a first protective pad; a second leg coupled to the waist belt and positioned on the opposing side of the posterior assembly having assembly having a second protective pad; a first impact distributing hip component coupled to the first leg assembly; and a second impact distributing hip component coupled to the second leg assembly.
Multi-stage energy absorber
An energy absorbing liner system that offers a multi-stage reaction to impact and is positioned inside a member that receives an impact. The energy absorbing liner system has one or more interconnected energy absorbing modules that rebound after one or more impacts. At least some of the modules in the layer have a basal portion with multiple levels of reaction to impact. For example, a first stage has one or more membranes. A second stage has energy absorbing units with bendable walls. The membranes extend between the walls of adjacent energy absorbing units. The membranes alone or in combination with the side walls of the units at least partially cushion the blow in multiple stages of reaction by progressively absorbing energy imparted by an object that impacts the outer shell.
