Energy absorbing blends
A composite material which is elastic, which exhibits a resistive load under deformation which increases with the rate of deformation, which is unfoamed or foamed, comminuted or uncomminuted and which comprises i) a first polymer-based elastic material and ii) a second polymer-based material, different from i), which exhibits dilatancy in the absence of i) wherein ii) is entrapped in a solid matrix of i), the composite material being unfoamed or, when foamed, preparable by incorporating ii) with i) prior to foaming.
Headband with impact protection
A protective clothing device having an article of clothing having an inner layer and/or an outer layer is disclosed. The protective clothing device may have thin force absorbing members coupled to the inner layer or outer layer of the article of clothing. The force absorbing members can have overlapping or interlaced portions for enhanced protection even when the protective clothing device expands. In one embodiment, the protective clothing device may be a protective hat. In another embodiment, the protective clothing device may be a headband.
Joint pad assembly
The present disclosure provides an improved joint pad assembly, which includes a socket assembly that is canted and is configured to distribute an applied force to a lateral edge surface of the socket assembly. The socket assembly is asymmetrical in design and includes an aperture that is offset from the joint it is configured to receive.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH DYNAMIC SUPPORT
An article of footwear with a dynamic support system that controls arrays of tiles in the upper of the footwear to adjust the level of support provided in different regions of the upper. Sensors in the sole of the footwear, in the upper of the footwear and/or in an article worn by the wearer of the footwear measure the level of stress or other characteristics and provide input to one or more microprocessors that control motors located in the sole or in the upper of the footwear. When the motors are activated, they may compress or loosen arrays of tiles to adjust the stiffness of the upper in one or more regions of the upper.
PROTECTIVE SUIT
The present invention relates to a protective upper and lower body assemblies and protective suit comprising the same. The protective upper body assembly comprises a ventral and a dorsal padding panels, a left and a right shoulder fasteners, and a left and a right flank fasteners. Each of the ventral and the dorsal padding panels include at least two layers of resiliently compressible material and one layer of breathable material. The protective lower assembly comprises a left and a right upper thigh portions, a left and a right lower thigh portions, a left and a right knee shells, a left and a right lower leg portions, and a left and a right feet shells.
Knee Pad With Rollers
A knee pad with rollers includes an upper leg portion with straps configured to adjustably secure the upper leg portion to the wearer's thigh, a knee portion with straps configured to adjustably secure the knee portion over one of the wearer's knees, and at least one flexible connector that connects the upper leg portion to the lower knee portion. Spherical rollers are disposed within sockets on a front face of the lower knee portion. Each spherical roller is configured to freely rotate within its respective socket. The wearer may wear the knee pad with the rollers installed so that they can easily and comfortably maneuver in any direction while supporting themselves on their knees. Additionally, the rollers can be selectively removed in situations where it is desirable to utilize a static or stationary knee supporting surface.
PATELLA PROTECTION SYSTEM AND KNEE BRACE COMPRISING SUCH A PATELLA PROTECTION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a patella protection system (1) comprising an upper member (21) designed to be positioned in proximity of an upper part of the wearer's leg, a lower member (22) designed to be positioned in proximity of a lower part of the wearer's leg and an intermediate guard member (23) designed to be positioned over the patella and operatively connected to the upper member (21) and the lower member (22). The upper member (21) and the lower member (22) are designed to move within the intermediate guard member (23) between a straight configuration and an angulated configuration. The invention also relates to a knee brace (2) comprising such a patella protection system (1).
SPORTS PANTS
The application provides a sports pants. The advantageous effect of the application is to set a knee protection portion and a popliteal fossa portion, which are convenient for human body to wear and improve wearing comfort. The popliteal fossa portion corresponds to the popliteal fossa of the human body to ensure the comfort of human wearing, and the knee protection portion corresponds to the knee of the human body. The double-layer fabric structure is adopted for the knee protection portion, and the cross stitch structure is provided on the front side of the outer fabric layer of the knee protection portion. The cross stitch structure can improve the wrapping strength of the inner fabric layer of the knee protection portion. After bending or squatting, it is conducive to the recovery of the knee and enhance the protection of the knee.
Roofing construction tool
A roofing construction tool including a substantially planar stand formed from a compressible material that includes a top surface having a first area, a bottom surface defining a second area larger than the first area, and side walls joining the top surface and bottom surface. The roofing construction tool may further include a high friction layer adjacent the bottom surface and/or at least one weight embedded in the compressible material and having a density greater than a density of the compressible material.
PROTECTIVE PAD ASSEMBLY INCLUDING INNER MEMBER AND OUTER PROTECTIVE PAD RELEASABLY ATTACHABLE THERETO
A protective pad assembly for removably positioning on an arm or a leg of a user of the protective pad assembly for protecting an elbow or a knee of the user. The protective pad assembly comprises an inner member adapted to be positioned adjacent the elbow or the knee of the user so as to encircle the arm or the leg of the user, at least inner securing component mounted to the inner member, an outer protective pad adapted to be positioned over the elbow or the knee of the user and aligned with the elbow or the knee of the user, and at least one outer securing component mounted to the outer protective pad. The at least one outer securing component is releasably attachable to the at least one inner securing component. The outer protective pad is configured to be disposed over the inner member.
