Automatic apparatus for high speed precision portioning of granules by weight
10386162 · 2019-08-20 ·

An automated granule portioning system includes at least one volumetric measuring chamber capable of adjusting the volume of the chamber automatically to a programmed target volume and arranged to receive a first portion of granules into the chamber to fill the target volume. A transport system automatically delivers the target volume of granules from the chamber to a weighing device. A granule metering device dispenses granules and, depending on a signal from the weighing device that the first portion of granules is below a programmed target weight, dispenses granules to the first portion to increase the weight to achieve a second portion having the target weight.

A presence sensor combined to a first storage carrier for detecting a presence of a second storage carrier. A load cell measures the weight of the material expelled from the first storage carrier. A scale controller in communication with the presence sensor responds to the presence of the second storage carrier by recording of the weight measurement from the load cell.

COFFEE GRINDER-DOSER APPARATUS WITH INDEPENDENT FORK AND WEIGHING DEVICE WITH FEEDBACK
20180344088 · 2018-12-06 ·

Electronic grinder-doser apparatus of the type with weight control or grind-by-weight, intended to grind and precisely dose coffee in beans dispensing the ground product in a filter-holding bowl for espresso coffee. Implemented is a dose compensated weighing system, of the multi-cycle and feedback type at every cycle, carried out by a device with a load cell and specific execution programs. The cell is interposed between the machine body and a base shaped in such a way as to integrate the centering fork of the bowl, making the hooking independent. The specific programs execute each grinding and dispensing cycle with a double weighing and automatic calibration, according to an Algorithm A comprising 4 steps (AF1-AF4) and a Filtering Algorithm B. The apparatus is suitable for professional daily use and helps the operator, by automatically calibrating during use.

The present application deals with a grid flap, comprising a multiplicity of vertical and horizontal grid struts, a frame which surrounds the grid struts, wherein a vertical and a horizontal grid strut respectively overlap in a crossing point, characterized in that the crossing points of the grid struts are made of one piece. As the grid is self-supporting because of its topology (made of one piece) and the overlapping of two grid struts can be avoided, double areas or cavities can be avoided, which contributes to a hygienic design of the grid flap.

Force-sensing conveyor belt
10094699 · 2018-10-09 · ·

A conveyor belt and a weighing system for weighing articles conveyed on a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt includes an array of force-sensing elements embedded in the belt to measure forces normal to the belt's conveying surface. The force-sensing elements form parts of passive resonant circuits that each include a capacitor and an inductive coil. Either the capacitor or the inductive coil can be a force-sensitive element. Measuring circuits external to the belt include an oscillator having a coil that inductively couples to the resonant circuit in the belt as it passes closely by. A force applied to the belt at a force-sensitive element changes the resonant frequency of its resonant circuit, which also causes a change in the oscillator frequency. Frequency detectors in the measuring circuits measure that frequency change and convert it into a proportional force value used to compute the weights of conveyed articles on the fly.

A weighing apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a dispersion table configured to rotate an article supplied from an outside around a central axis defined in a substantially vertical direction and to convey the article in a direction away from the central axis; an acquisition unit configured to acquire a mass value of the article placed on the dispersion table; and a control unit configured to control a rotation speed of the dispersion table on the basis of the mass value. The control unit is configured to set the rotation speed of the dispersion table to a first rotation speed when the mass value is equal to or less than a first mass value, and to set the rotation speed of the dispersion table to a second rotation speed slower than the first rotation speed when the mass value is a second mass value heavier than the first mass value.
