System and a method for ascertaining the mass of at least one animal
A system for ascertaining the mass of an animal having attached thereto a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. The system comprises a scale for supporting the animal and generating mass information indicative of the mass of the animal when so supported. The system comprises a RFID reader for interrogating the RFID tag which when interrogated generates a RFID tag signal from which the RFID reader can derive animal identification information indicative of the identity of the animal.

SCALE FOR DETERMINING THE WEIGHT OF ORGANISMS
There is described a scale for determining weight of one or more organisms contained in a sample. The scale generally has: a camera having a field of view orientable towards the sample and being configured for acquiring an image of the one or more organisms of the sample; a controller having a memory and a processor configured to perform the steps of: accessing the acquired image; using an organism detection engine being stored on the memory and being trained, detecting one or more organism representations in one or more corresponding portions of the accessed image and generating detection data concerning the one or more detected organism representations; and using an organism weight determination engine being stored on the memory and being trained, determining weight data concerning weight associated to the one or more detected organism representations based on the detection data.
Methods for generating consensus biomass estimates
Generating consensus biomass estimates include providing a first biomass parameter data set associated with a first biomass attribute parameter to a first biomass estimation model and providing a second biomass parameter data set associated with a second biomass attribute parameter to a second biomass estimation model different from the first biomass estimation model. The first biomass estimation model is adaptively weighted with a first weighting factor relative to a second weighting factor for the second biomass estimation model. An aggregated biomass estimate is determined based on a combination of the first biomass estimation model using the first weight factor and the second biomass estimation model using the second weight factor.

APPARATUS FOR WEIGHING POULTRY MOVING IN A CONVEYOR LINE
An apparatus for weighing poultry in a conveyor line can include carriers for the poultry, linked to each other by a driving chain. The conveyor line can include at least a curved track section and a weighing track section, wherein a weighing station is located along the weighing track section. A chain tension control mechanism can include a rotatable wheel having its circumference following the curved track section and pass the weighing track section, which rotatable wheel can support a series of engaging units that engage the chain and/or the carriers in the curved track section to tension the chain and disengage the chain and/or the carriers in the weighing track section to release tension in the chain.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ESTIMATING LIVESTOCK WEIGHT
A system and method for estimating livestock weight is described. Embodiments of the system can include a computing device and a three-dimensional tag configured to be secured to an animal. One or more images of an animal, including the three-dimensional tag, can be processed to take various measurements of the animal. A scaling factor for the measurements can be based on the three-dimensional tag. After the measurement are calibrated, a weight of the animal can be estimated based on the calibrated measurements.
MONITORING LIVESTOCK IN AN AGRICULTURAL PEN
A method comprising: receiving an image of a scene comprising one or more animals; defining region boundaries for each of said one or more animals; evaluating a suitability of each of said region boundaries for further processing, based, at least in part, on a predetermined set of parameters; and determining at least one of: (i) a physical state of at least some of said one or more animals, based, at least in part, on said further processing, and (ii) an identity of at least some of said one or more animals.
LIVESTOCK WEIGHING SYSTEM AND LIVESTOCK WEIGHING METHOD USING THE SAME
Provided a livestock weighing system and a livestock weighing method using the same. The livestock weighing system includes a 3D scanning unit that acquires a three-dimensional image by scanning a livestock; and a livestock weighing terminal that is connected to the 3D scanning unit and derives a weight of the livestock from the three-dimensional image. In another example, provided is a livestock weighing system including a manager terminal; a 3D scanning unit that acquires multiple three-dimensional images by scanning a livestock; and a livestock weighing server that makes the manager terminal and the 3D scanning unit operate in conjunction with each other and receive the multiple three-dimensional images from the 3D scanning unit to derive the weight of the livestock from the multiple three-dimensional images.
