STOCKING LEVEL INDICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
In some embodiments, systems, apparatuses, and methods are described herein including a shelf assembly that utilizes the accumulated weight of products stocked thereon to compress a compression member disposed within the assembly. An electronic imaging device can be mounted proximate to the assembly and can be oriented to capture an image of the compression member to determine whether a particular shelf needs to be restocked and avoid having to manipulate or remove products from a shelf to determine a current stock level.
Timing hopper and combination weighing device
<Problem> It is an object of the present invention to provide a timing hopper that inhibits the occurrence of the problem that articles end up getting stuck inside the timing hopper and are not normally discharged. <Solution> A timing hopper 9 includes a first member 91, a second member 92, and a gate 9a. The first member 91 has a first opening 91a to which articles A are input. The second member 92 has a second opening 92a from which the articles A are discharged. The gate 9a opens and closes the second opening 92a. The first member 91 has a first side wall 91b and a second side wall 91c. The second side wall 91c opposes the first side wall 91b. The second member 92 has a third side wall 92b and a fourth side wall 92c. The third side wall 92b is continuously connected to the first side wall 91b. The fourth side wall 92c opposes the third side wall 92b and is continuously connected to the second side wall 91c. The height position where the first side wall 91b and the third side wall 92b are interconnected is different from the height position where the second side wall 91c and the fourth side wall 92c are interconnected.

COMBINATION WEIGHING DEVICE
A combination weighing device is provided that discharges, from a hopper, an article oversupplied into and received by the hopper and that collects the article using the collection container. The combination weighing device includes an oversupplied article retainer disposed at a position on a discharge path for the article to be discharged from the hopper and collected by the collection container. The oversupplied article retainer has a collection chute and a blocking shutters and temporarily retains the article guided to flow downward using the collection chute and the blocking shutter.

COMBINATION WEIGHING DEVICE
When there is currently no article at an upstream end of a trough of a downstream linear feeder, an upstream linear feeder is driven to operate until any article detected by an upstream article detector. In case no article is still detectable by the upstream article sensor when a predetermined period of time is passed after the upstream linear feeder starts to be driven, the upstream linear feeder is driven to operate by an increased vibration strength based on the assumption that an article(s) is being jammed or articles are being stuck together on an upstream side of the upstream linear feeder.

COMBINATION WEIGHING APPARATUS
A combination weighing device is provided that includes a plurality of article suppliers disposed in juxtaposition with each other and adapted to transport and supply articles to a plurality of weighing units. The combination weighing device further includes an article transporter adapted to drop and supply the transported articles from a direction intersecting with a direction of transport of the articles by the article suppliers, and an article split-and-guide member adapted to split, drop and guide the articles in a direction of juxtaposition of the article suppliers.

ADAPTIVE FLOW MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A method and system for correcting mass flow rate measurements relating to a conveyor used to move a stream of first component material portions to and through a mixing station in which a second component material is dispensed in a predetermined mass percentage of the mass of the first component material portions. The correction of the measurements is adapted to correct for inaccuracies that arise in the measurements due to, for example, differences in the first component material portions properties, differences in the second component material properties, environmental conditions, drift of electronic instruments, and changing conditions that occur during extended use of an upstream conveyor that delivers first component material portions to the mixing station.
