Livestock weighing device
A livestock weighing device that performs a secondary operation such as marking animals having a desired minimum weight with a visual indicia to aid sorting thereof. The weight of an animal moving across the platform actuates a cable system to move a shuttle associated with an actuator. The actuator changes condition to initiate a secondary operation, such as opening an outlet valve for a container of paint to dispense a quantity of paint onto the animal supported on the platform, when the sled is moved in a predetermined direction and the animal weighs more than the minimum required weight.

Deadweight loading apparatus, system, and method for calibrating a testing device
Disclosed herein is a deadweight loading apparatus, system, and method for calibrating a testing device. The deadweight loading apparatus comprises a cart, comprising a horizontal support surface, a cart handle, a plurality of weights stackable on the horizontal support surface, and a basket supportable on the horizontal support surface. The basket comprising a first side plate and a second side plate. The apparatus also comprises a selector bar comprising two extension arms that are selectively, adjustably, engageable with the first side plate and the second side plate at each one of multiple vertical locations along the first side plate and the second side plate. When the selector bar is selectively, adjustably, engaged with the first side plate and the second side plate, each one of the two extension arms is fitted within a corresponding one of the two grooves on a corresponding weight.
Scale calibration device and method of use
A scale calibration device and method of use. The device may include a base supportable on and movable along a surface to a location. The base further includes a base surface for supporting a scale to be calibrated proximate the location. The device includes a frame assembly connected to the base and operable to support, in a position over the base surface, means for simulating a dead weight, the means being operable to apply a force to the scale supported on the base surface.
Ergonomic held weight unit
Hand held weight units of light weight manufactured as a solid unit, a shell unit with core insert combinations or modular units with interlocking ends. Shell units with core inserts and modular interlocking units allow for the changing of held weight by inserting or removing inserts or by locking or unlocking of modular weight unit sets creating varying held weight. The weight units are primarily used with upper body exercises during aerobic exercises in the home, outdoors, or in a gym setting such as walking or running to vary the intensity of workout during use.
WEIGHING DEVICE, SYSTEM COMPRISING THE WEIGHING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A WEIGHT
A weighing device is disclosed which includes a chassis, a load cell, and a weighing pan functionally coupled to the load cell. The weighing device includes a locking device adapted and configured to selectively fix the weighing pan relative to the chassis of the weighing device. The locking device may be used to fix the weighing pan relative to the chassis of the weighing device prior to placing objects onto the weighing pan and prior to removing objects from the weighing pan, so as to inhibit inducing swings of the weighing pan, impulses and shocks on the load cell, and other detrimental effects by loading and unloading the weighing pan. A system comprising the weighing device and a method for weight determination are further disclosed.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING A WEIGH-IN-MOTION SENSOR
An apparatus for calibrating a weigh-in-motion (WIM) sensor embedded in a roadway includes an actuator, an applicator, a force sensor disposed between the actuator and the applicator, and a carriage supporting the actuator, the applicator and the force sensor, which carriage is selectively movable on a longitudinal support carried by a frame. The apparatus also includes a drive unit to move the applicator along the longitudinal support as well as a position sensor that detects a position of the calibration path relative to the WIM sensor. According to a method for calibrating a WIM sensor, the frame is positioned to straddle the WIM sensor. The applicator introduces along the calibration path at a succession of different positions, a reference force that is measured by the WIM sensor and the force sensor, and these measurements are compared to generate a calibration.
Interlocking test weight system
A test weight system includes a first assembly having a first body member and a plurality of ear members arranged about the first body member. The test weight system also includes a second assembly interlocked with the first assembly, the second assembly having a second body member defining a plurality of slots. A portion of each ear member extends through one of the plurality of slots.
