Disclosed herein are face shields, eyewear, and kits which provide a user the ability to protect their face from solids or liquids while simultaneously providing the ability to manipulate any eyewear the user may desire to wear.

The invention is a face shield that is adjustable to accommodate use of a variety of tools often employed in scientific or medical settings, including for example in dentistry. In some embodiments, the adjustable face shield may include a headband for securing the face shield to a head, a brim extension adapted to receive a transparent shield, and a brim frame extending from the headband, the brim frame including a channel adapted to register with a support member of the brim extension at an anterior region of the brim frame, wherein the support member of the brim extension telescopically extends and retracts within the channel from the anterior region of the brim frame to adjust a length of the adjustable face shield. In this manner, the face shield is adjustable to protect the wearer as well as the equipment that may be worn during certain tasks.

A reusable transparent flexible silicone mask has a border coated with hydrogel or non-toxic emulsion adhesive that adheres directly to a wearer's face by hydrogel emulsion adhesion, without ear elastics or ties around the back of the head. The mask protects against breathing pathogens. The mask has a half-face version that covers the wearer's nose and mouth, a goggles version, and a full-face version. The mask may include one or more of a removable air filter cartridge, a breathing valve, a headlamp, a glasses gate, and a headband for keeping the mask on the wearer's body even when the mask is not affixed to the face.

A face shield comprising: a shield having a perforation that receives a brim of a baseball cap, and a pair of tabs extending from the shield that engage opposing sides of an inner portion of the baseball cap. Each tab may include a projection extending away from the base, and the projection may be inserted into a sweatband within the baseball cap.

A frame extending from a first end to a second with a curved portion therebetween has a first dual hooking member at the first end and a second dual hooking member at the second end. Each dual hooking member has a strap hook, facing away from their respective ends, and an external hook, facing toward their respective ends. The strap hooks engage selected holes in a resilient elastomeric strap to bias the first end to the second end across a gap therebetween to frictionally hold the frame to a user's forehead. While the frame is frictionally held to the user's forehead, the external hooks extend externally from the strap to engage opposed strings of a face mask on the users face, and, a visor can be releasably secured to the frame in a visor functional position with a see-through area in front of the user's eyes.

Methods and systems are provided for a face shield capable of sliding onto a brim of a head covering. The face shield may have coatings providing anti-microbial protection, UV protection, fire protection, or combinations thereof. The face shield may be pre-designed for a specific head covering, or may be adaptable to take the correct shape upon mounting to the head covering. The face shield may also include a snap-on strip that is releasably connectable to a substantially transparent sheet of material forming the face shield and the snap-on strip may be configured to impart a shape to the substantially transparent sheet of material when connected thereto.

Safety glasses for a human user, with at least one lens which has an upper rim assignable to the user's forehead and a lower rim assignable to a user's cheek, with at least one nosepiece arranged at the at least one lens and with at least one protective lip to be supported on the user's face. The at least one protective lip only extends at the lower rim of the at least lens from the at least one nosepiece towards at least one of the outer lateral rims of the lens and, in extension of the lens, downwards from the lower rim of the lens to be supported on the user's cheek.

A face mask is provided for filtering a respiratory air flow of a user, the face mask comprising a main body, an external support frame and at least one inlet connector. The main body comprises elastomeric material and is configured to accommodate to facial features of the user. The main body further comprises at least one air inlet opening and at least one air outlet opening. The external support frame supports the main body. The inlet connector extends at least partly through the at least one air inlet of the main body and a corresponding air inlet of the support frame and comprises a valve mount for receiving and holding an inlet valve and a filter mount for receiving and holding a disposable filter element.

An air sterilization mask including main body and air sterilization component. Main body has accommodation space. Air sterilization component includes casing, airflow generating unit and light sterilizer. Casing has inlet end, outlet end, top opening, bottom opening and channel. Main body is selectively connected to one of inlet and outlet ends. Top opening is located on inlet end. Bottom opening is located on outlet end. Two opposite sides of channel are respectively in fluid communication with top opening and bottom opening. Accommodation space and outside environment are in fluid communication with each other via channel. Airflow generating unit is selectively disposed in one of inlet end, outlet end, and channel. Light sterilizer is disposed in casing and light emitted from light sterilizer is irradiated toward at least a part of channel.

A headgear, for use with a mask and or shield, which includes a strong but flexible headband to engage back of wearer's head and extend on either side behind ears and assuming a semi-circular shape. Headband splits into two parts on both sides of the head, where the inner parts rest on both ears and applies compression to the head to help hold headgear in place, and the outer parts function to attach to and support the shield and mask assemblies, which attaches to and manipulates a shield, and or a mask, positioning them in a fully protective configuration covering the nose, mouth and or face, or relaxed configuration exposing the nose mouth and or face, where positioning of the shield and mask is controlled by the rotation of circular knobs and so allows the shield and mask to be manipulated without physically touching them.
