SEE-THROUGH FACE MASK AND FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR THE SAME
This invention provides a see-through full face mask and hood that integrates effective filtration for both inhaled and exhaled air. The mask includes a transparent visor mounted on a headband and surrounded by a frame. The headband or the frame (sides, bottom, etc.) can include a filtration assembly that allows passive inflow and outflow of air in a manner that is highly breathable. The frame generally seals against the users face in a comfortable manner. The visor can be surrounded by a subframe that can be moved upwardly out of engagement with a base frame—which remains attached to the wearer to expose the user's mouth for eating. The filtration assembly defines a plurality of tortuous or circuitous-path filtration tubes that employ bends, baffles, charged surfaces and/or other internal barriers to redirect airflow and thereby trap microdroplets containing pathogens until such pathogens can be rendered inactive.
Face shield for attachment to goggles or eyeglasses
Systems and methods for a face shield for attachment to goggles or eyeglasses are disclosed. An attachment portion secures a shield to said googles or eyeglasses. The attachment portion includes an outer band secured to and extending along an upper portion of the shield. An inner band extends along an upper portion of the goggles or eyeglasses. At least one clip removably secures the attachment portion to the goggles or eyeglasses.
PERSONAL PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A protective headgear system includes a cover including a substantially transparent facial shield, a sheet sealingly coupled to the facial shield around the cover's perimeter, the sheet including a substantially anterior portion including a first sheet material configured to act as a substantial barrier to the passage of air, and including a substantially posterior portion including a second sheet material configured to filter contaminants from air, and one or more seams between the first sheet material and the second sheet material, a flow restrictor configured to significantly create a flow barrier between the cover and the neck of a user for providing an interior volume, an air mover configured to draw some of the external air into the interior volume, a filter coupled to the cover, and one or more flow directors configured to direct internal air, including at least some exhaled air, toward the second sheet material.
EXTENDED USE MASK HAT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SPREAD OF INFECTION
Disclosed here is an extended use mask hat. The principal components are a hat member, a mask member and an attachment means. Under conditions where there is no desire for protection, the mask member can be easily stored against the interior surface of the hat member. When there is a desire for protection, the mask member can be easily and quickly donned. The service period of the mask hat is extendable by washing. Several technological problems are overcome, including, individual and community protection from the airborne spread of infectious disease in a manner that is effective, not noxious to human sensibility and not overly bearing.
REMOVABLE FACE MASK
The invention discloses a removable face mask, which comprises a face mask body and a supporting body, and further comprises a fastener, wherein the fastener is rotated so that a buckling portion is passed through a hole on the face mask body and embedded into a hole on the supporting body, and the face mask body and the supporting body are connected in a snap-in manner, which simplifies the structure and provides the advantages of convenience in disassembly and use.
FACE SHIELD
A face shield includes a front surface opposite of a back surface, a shield portion, and a band portion extending from a top side of the shield portion. A plurality of spacing projections extend outward from the back surface of the face shield that are configured to be positioned against a forehead of a wearer.
Protective Face Covering System
A protective face covering system is provided, which includes one or both of a substantially transparent face shield and an air filtering face mask. Both the face shield and face mask are removably positionable in front of the face of the user without straps or bands. A dual adhesive engagement holds the face mask in a sealed contact with the face of the user, and one of a secondary adhesive engagement or a slit engaged to the eyewear of the user holds the face shield in front of the face of the user.
HEADPIECE FOR A FACE SHIELD
There is provided a headpiece for a face shield, the headpiece comprising a first section for extending across the forehead of a user during use, and a second section having a support for supporting a lens during use. The second section is rotatably mounted to the first section, such that the second section can be rotated from a first position in which it is in front of a user's forehead to a second position in which it is above a user's head. There is also provided a face shield comprising a headpiece according to the invention and an attached lens.
Disposable Protective Garment And Barrier film
A disposable protective garment for positioning over a wearer's head is provided for use in airplanes, busses, trains, other mass transit and other single-use applications. The disposable protective garment includes a hood formed of tubular blown film that has an at least partly closed top that rests on a wearer's head and an open bottom that rests on a wearer's shoulders. A mask can be integrated into the hood by forming a plurality of apertures in the hood and placing a polymer fabric that acts as a filter over the plurality of apertures. The hood may alternatively be combined with a crown or air filter material positioned over its top; a tubular filter equipped with an electric fan that draws air from above, filters it and directs the clean air downward across the wearer's face; and/or headgear. A barrier film suitable for use in the protective garment as well as other barrier applications is also provided.
RETRACTABLE FACIAL PROTECTION
One or more embodiments of a device for a device for facial protection. The device includes a cap, connector, and facial protection. The cap includes a bowl and a bill. The bowl is sized and arranged to fit over a human head and the bill is arranged to extend from the bowl. The connector is fixed below the bill and extends in a first direction. The facial protection is connected to the connector and is arranged to slide along the connector in the first direction. The facial protection is configured to rotate in a plane including the first direction.
