Personal Protection System With Control Member
A personal protection system including a garment configured for attachment to a helmet, wherein the garment defines a barrier between a wearer and an environment. The system includes a control mount integral to the garment and at least partially disposed on the environment side and the wearer side of the barrier. The system may include an emitter and a sensor configured to detect a signal output by the emitter. The control mount may comprise a lens configured to transmit the signal from the emitter through the garment. A control member may be coupled to the control mount and configured to be manipulated by the wearer. When manipulated by the wearer, the control member may distort and/or disrupt the transfer of the signal through the lens that is detected by the sensor. The sensor may provide a sensor input signal based on the signal detected from the emitter.
Protective apparel system with impervious protection
A protective apparel system is provided that comprises a helmet covering the wearer's head and a gown covering the wearer's body. A protective barrier extends between the helmet and the gown in order to separate an interior space from the exterior space. The helmet may be a reusable rigid helmet with an exterior surface that can be repeatedly disinfected. The helmet may also include an air transmission system.
Protective apparel system with a lens assembly
A protective apparel system for use with a surgical helmet having a headlamp and including a protective apparel apparatus comprising a surgical garment, wherein the garment defines a sterile barrier between the wearer and the environment. The system includes a lens assembly adjacent to the surgical garment on the environment side and configured to cooperate with a coupling member for use with the headlamp. The lens assembly may include a control member and a lens, wherein the control member is be manipulatable by a wearer. The control member may be configured wherein manipulation by the wearer may reposition the lens of the lens assembly to adjust the direction and/or intensity of the light from the headlamp without breaching the sterile barrier.
Medical protective garment
A medical protective garment including a pair of front fabric pieces, a pair of rear fabric pieces, a headgear fabric piece and a weldable zipper is provided. Each of the front fabric pieces includes an integral front body part, an integral front trouser and an integral front sleeve that are connected to each other. Each of the pair of rear fabric pieces includes an integral rear body part, an integral rear trouser and an integral rear sleeve that are connected to each other. Heat welding lines are formed on joints of the headgear fabric piece, the front fabric pieces and the rear fabric pieces. The weldable zipper includes a pair of zipper strips, and a material of the pair of zipper strips can be heat welded to any one of the pair of front fabric pieces, the pair of rear fabric pieces or the headgear fabric piece.
Surgical Personal Protection Apparatus
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system includes a helmet over which a hood or a toga suspended. The helmet has a chin bar that extends forward of the face of the individual wearing the system. At least one manually actuated control for regulating one aspect of operation of the system is mounted to the chin bar. Sometimes the control is a button that is depressed to control the operation of a helmet mounted fan that draws air into the hood or toga. A microphone may also be mounted to the chin bar.
Protective apparel and support apparatus and method of use
A protective apparel support system is disclosed comprising a support frame configured to rest on the shoulders of a wearer, the support having a first shoulder member, a second shoulder member and a shield engagement portion. A shield is selectively coupleable to the support and protective apparel is coupled to the shield.
Medical garment including a shield
A medical garment for use with a helmet, wherein the garment comprises a shell and a transparent face shield configured to define a barrier between the wearer and the environment. The transparent face shield may comprise a tab configured to be at least partially disposed within an alignment channel of the helmet when the medical garment is attached to the helmet to orient the shell relative to the helmet. The tab may also be separate from the transparent face shield and disposed on the shell of the medical garment. The transparent face shield may also comprise an attachment element configured to removably couple with a coupling member of the helmet, wherein the attachment element and coupling member comprise complementary coupling surfaces.
Personal protection system with control member
A person protection system including a garment configured for attachment to a helmet, wherein the garment defines a barrier between the wearer and the environment. The system includes a control mount integral to the garment and at least partially disposed on an environment side and a wearer side of the barrier. The control mount may include a lens configured to transfer light through the garment, and a sensor configured to detect the light transferred or reflected through the lens. A control member may be coupled to the control mount and configured to be manipulated by the wearer. When manipulated by the wearer, the control member may distort and/or disrupt the transfer of light through the lens that is detected by the sensor. The sensor may provide a sensor input signal based on the detected light.
Surgical Apparel System
A surgical garment configured for attachment to a surgical helmet, wherein the surgical garment defines a barrier between the wearer and the environment. The surgical helmet includes a peripheral device, a chin bar, and a coupling member. The coupling member may be recessed within the chin bar. The surgical garment may comprise an attachment element configured to removably couple with the coupling member of the surgical helmet. The coupling member and attachment member may comprise reciprocal features, such as a protrusion and a recess. The protrusion and/or corresponding recess may comprise a curved or similarly shaped surface configured to resist decoupling of the attachment member and the coupling member when a force is applied to the surgical garment.
Surgical Personal Protection Apparatus
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system includes a helmet over which a hood or a toga suspended. A microphone, an amplifier and a speaker are mounted to the helmet. Speech of the individual wearing the personal protection system is picked up by the microphone and amplified speech is broadcast by the speaker. The speaker is outwardly directed so as to broadcast the speech out through the hood or toga covering the helmet.
