Digital pathology color calibration and validation
Color calibration for digital pathology is provided. A standard glass slide is prepared with a specimen having zero or more stains. The specimen is scanned a first time using a hyperspectral imaging system to produce a first digital image having XYZ color values. The specimen is scanned a second time using a digital pathology imaging system to produce a second digital image having RGB color values. The first and second digital images are then registered against each other to align the digital image data. Individual pixels of the first and second images may be combined in the registration process so that the first and second digital images have substantially similar pixel sizes. A lookup table is generated to associate XYZ color values to RGB color values. Once the lookup table has been generated, it can be used to present RGB color on a display using the corresponding XYZ color.

A tint measuring device configured for being connected in series in a fluid flow circuit, the tint measuring device including at least one light source configured for emitting polychromatic light towards the fluid in a measurement zone; a light sensor configured for receiving a light signal either reflected from or transmitted through the fluid, the reflected or the transmitted light signal corresponding to the optical reflection or the optical transmission, respectively, by the fluid, of the polychromatic light emitted towards the fluid by the at least one light source; and a computing unit configured for performing a spectral analysis of the light signal received by the light sensor and for determining a chromatic signature of the fluid.
COLOR MATCHING FOR PRINTS ON COLORED SUBSTRATES
Examples of a method and a system measure colorimetric data of a set of color samples deposited on a reference substrate and on at least one further substrate having distinct colors from one another. Based on the measured colorimetric data, estimate functions are applied for mapping between the colorimetric data of the color samples deposited on differently colored substrates.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ENHANCING COLOR VISION AND QUANTIFYING COLOR INTERPRETATION
In one embodiment, a method is disclosed that includes selecting a first color sample within a target area in a first image of a first object displayed by a display device; selecting a second color sample within a target area in a second image of a second object displayed in the display device; comparing the first color sample against the second color sample to determine a measure of color difference or a measure of color equivalence between the first color sample of the first object and the second color sample of the second object; and displaying the results of the comparison to a user in the display device. One or more of these functions may be performed with a processor.
