SURGICAL PREPARATION GARMENTS
Surgical preparation garments comprising in combination a fabric top portion consisting of a jacket having sleeves and a fabric bottom portion consisting of a pair of trousers having a right and left trouser leg. The top portion and bottom portion have openings located at predetermined points for convenient access to the human body to carry out surgical procedures.
CARDIAC IMPLANTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE POCKET COMPRESSION APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MITIGATING LOCALIZED BLEEDING USING SAME
A method mitigates pocket bleeding and hematoma formation in a patient by providing a pliable wrap having a solid block coupled with the wrap, and then securing the pliable wrap around the torso of the patient to align the solid block with the located localized torso area. The solid block at least in part covers the localized torso area. The wrap is secured to cause the wrap to apply a force, to the solid block, that produces a corresponding pressure on the localized torso area. The force applied to the solid block is high enough to cause the pressure to hinder blood flow to the localized torso area to promote clotting at the localized torso area. At the same time, the force applied to the solid block is low enough to cause the pressure to permit blood flow to the localized torso area to promote healing.
BED GARMENT
A garment has a front side and a back side. The front side of the garment is located adjacent to the chest of the person when the garment is worn. The back side is located opposite from the front side. The front side includes a front flap, and the back side includes a rear flap. The rear flap is shorter in length than the front flap. The front side further includes a pocket member for storing objects. The garment also includes sleeve members, which may selectively open to allow access to the arm(s) and selectively close to form a sleeve. The front side of the garment also includes flap members which can open and close to allow access to the upper body portion of the wearer when open.
Surgical Modesty Garment and Support Bra
A modular brassiere that serves as both a modesty garment and an easily-donned support garment. The modular bra includes an elongated support band that is preferably made of elastic material. Hook-and-loop type of engaging panels are used to secure the band around the user's chest. A separate strap assembly may be added to transfer load to one or more of the user's shoulders. The support band includes a proximal end and a distal end. A pocket is preferably included, proximate the distal end. The user can place one or more fingers into this pocket to assist in donning the device. A grip panel is preferably included as well. The grip panel includes a strap loop which the user can employ to also assist in donning the device.
DRESS SHIRT WITH HIDDEN MEDICAL ACCESS POINTS
A dress shirt having a hidden medical access point, the dress shirt including a collar and a front portion. The front portion includes a first side, a second side, a plurality of buttons, and a first closable aperture. The first side having an open edge configured to overlap with an open edge of the second side when the first side is coupled to the second side. The plurality of buttons positioned along one of the open edge of the first side or the open edge of the second side. The first closable aperture is positioned on an upper chest position of the first side and the first closable aperture includes a fastener configured to permit the respective closable aperture to be in an open configuration or a closed configuration and wherein the first closable aperture, when in the open configuration, permits passage of a medical instrumentality therethrough.
BREAST CANCER RECOVERY GARMENT
The breast-cancer recovery system comprises a breast cancer recovery garment, an organizational subsystem and a needs kit. The breast cancer recovery garment comprises a body portion defining an opening, positioned, configured and dimensioned to allow the performance of a breast cancer treatment procedure and a closure device suitable for closing the opening when a procedure is not being performed. The body portion of the garment defines the elongated pocket proximate the bottom edge, extending along the bottom edge and defines slits in at least one of the sleeves. The body portion of the recovery garment comprises of a warm material and/or of decorative pattern. The organizational subsystem comprises a frame configured to support a plurality of color-coded files, and marked with identification tabs which relate to breast cancer patient needs, and customized medical information. A breast cancer patient needs kit comprises a basket-like container, a canvas tote bag, a canvas tote bag with a zipper closure, or a basket and clear wrap around it, at least one drug and/or medication and at least one edible item.
MEDICAL GARMENT FOR CHEST DEVICES AND PROCEDURES
One or more embodiments of the disclosure include a medical garment for exposing a person's upper torso and a method of making the garment. The garment can resemble a shirt, in that sleeves may extend to about the elbows or wrists, the garment may extend down to the waist, and other than one or more flaps configured to open to expose an upper torso the medical garment is substantially free of openings. The garment may include a body with a front portion attached to a back portion by non-partable seams. The sleeves can be coupled to the front and back portions. The flap(s) may include a partable seam that extends from a top portion of the body toward but not substantially beyond a bottom part of the sleeves where they attach to the body. The flap(s) may also include a fastener to hold the partable seam in a closed position.
CLOTHING
To make available clothing that supports the wearer's muscles to enable capacity for and flexibility in movement to be improved in situations such as during sports, during heavy lifting, or being under nursing care. Clothing involving the present invention is furnished with an upper-body piece for covering at least a portion of the upper half of the body, and an upper-body support unit formed on the upper-body piece. The upper-body support unit includes an upper-body first support section situated in sites following at least a portion of the psoas major muscles an upper-body second support section situated in sites following the supraspinatus muscles, and an upper-body third support section situated in sites following the teres major muscles.
MEDICAL APPARATUS
A medical apparatus can include a garment having a body portion with an outward facing surface and an inward facing surface and defines an access opening. The access opening provides access from the outward facing surface to the inward facing surface. An anchor secured on the outward facing surface can be configured for releasable securement of a first portion of a medical device. An outer panel can span at least a portion of the access opening and define a selectively closesable pocket configured to retain a second portion of the medical device. The garment can have a sleeve that defines an opening through which a third portion of the medical device extending through the arm opening can be routed and secured.
Line Protecting Garment
A garment for protecting a line, such as a central line or broviac line, protruding out of a body of a user, the garment having a body strap, and a pocket on an interior side of the body strap to cover and protect the line from the user. The body strap can have a slit through which the line can exit. The garment can have shoulder straps with line traps to further manage the line exiting from the body strap.
