HIGH FREQUENCY LOCK-IN THERMOGRAPHY USING SINGLE PHOTON DETECTORS
20180180670 · 2018-06-28 ·

Systems, methods, and computer readable media to improve the operation of thermographic imaging systems are described. Techniques are disclosed for generating thermograms using single low-noise photon detectors. More particularly, an array of single low-noise photon detectors operating in the Geiger mode may be used to accurately identify the time delay between the application of a periodic power stimulus to a device under test and the generation of photons resulting from that stimulus. In one embodiment an array of single photon detectors may be used to time-tag each detected photon. Thereafter, a high-speed counting circuit can correlate the detected photons to the applied stimulus. When operating at the frequencies possible in the Geiger mode, such measurements permit a higher degree of spatial resolution (e.g., in the x, y and z axes) of thermal hot-spots within the device under test than prior art approaches.

Arrester Temperature Monitor
20180108461 · 2018-04-19 · ·

An instrumented electric power arrester includes a temperature sensor, wireless transmitter, and a visual over-temperature indicator. A disk shaped module, a replacement varister block, or a dummy block containing the sensor/transmitter is placed between varister blocks inside the arrester housing. A strap-on module is attached to the outside of the arrester housing. The sensor/transmitter utilizes a harvesting power supply that draws electric power for the electronics from the power line protected by the arrester. An ambient temperature sensor may be utilized to enhance accuracy. The temperature sensor/transmitter typically sends arrester monitoring data wirelessly to an RTU or handheld unit located outside the arrester, which relays the monitoring data to an operations control center that scheduled replacement of the arrester based on the monitoring data. A surge counter keeps track of the number of equipment and lightening related temperature surges experienced by the arrester.

A shield plate is a shield plate related to non-contact measurement of temperature of a semiconductor apparatus, and includes a base of which temperature is adjustable, in which the amount of thermal radiation of a blackbody surface located on one side of the base is larger than the amount of thermal radiation of a reflective surface located on a side opposite to the blackbody surface, and the blackbody surface is a blackbody surface that emits infrared rays.

INTEGRATED CIRCUIT TEMPERATURE DETERMINATION USING PHOTON EMISSION DETECTION

A computer-implemented method includes receiving a plurality of images from a device under test (DUT), whereby each of the plurality of images is generated by operating the DUT at different frequency conditions. The computer-implemented method further includes receiving emission intensity values from a corresponding pixel location on each of the received plurality of images, receiving an electrical leakage current parameter for the DUT that corresponds to a change in leakage current based on a change in temperature, and receiving a temperature parameter for the DUT that corresponds to an ambient temperature value at which the DUT is maintained. A temperature value at the corresponding pixel location is then determined based on the different frequency conditions, the emission intensity values associated with the different frequency conditions, the electrical leakage current parameter, and the ambient temperature value.
