PLASTIC SURGICAL GLOVES WITH REINFORCED KNUCKLE AND PALM AREAS
20180199644 · 2018-07-19 ·

The present invention provides a reinforced plastic glove having a coating that prevents piercing so that the glove can be used in the medical field, or in the food field. The surgical gloves are typically made of nitrile, latex, or vinyl. In addition, the reinforcing coating on these gloves can be either the same material as the glove, or the gloves can be coated with polyethylene or different plastics that would be most suitable for providing a reinforcement coating. The reinforcement coating is provided by coating the plastic glove on both the inner and outer surfaces, in the palm area, and in the knuckle area of the glove. The coating on the glove has a thickness in the range of 10 mm to 40 mm, and a width in the palm area of 90 mm on the surface of the glove. Also, the coating in the knuckle area is in the range of 10 mm wide and 50 mm long. The coating can be applied by a dipping process or a spraying process.

RUBBER FORMED ARTICLE AND PROTECTIVE GLOVE

A rubber formed article includes a laminate in which a rubber layer of nitrile rubber is laminated on a fiber base material. The nitrile rubber contains a copolymer having 52 to 78% by weight of conjugated diene monomer units, 20 to 40% by weight of ,-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer units, and 2 to 10% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid monomer units. Stress at 50% elongation of the laminate is 20 N or smaller. A ratio of an area where rubber is visible when the laminate is viewed from the back side to an area of the laminate is 15% or less. The thickness of the rubber layer is 0.30 mm or less.

Thin-walled elastic products and methods and systems for manufacturing same

One method for creating barrier products (for example, condoms and gloves) includes: (a) dipping a former into a tank of elastic compound. The former has an indentation extending inwardly from an outer surface for creating a first protrusion on a first face of the barrier product. The method further includes: (b) removing the former from the tank of elastic compound, whereby some of the elastic compound removably adheres to the former and fills the indentation; (c) applying supplemental material to the elastic compound, whereby creating a second protrusion on a second face of the barrier product; and (d) fully drying the supplemental material. One barrier product includes an elastic wall having opposed faces, and first and second protrusions respectively extend from the opposed faces. The first and second protrusions are in cross-sectional alignment whereby rotational input forces on the first protrusion create rotational output forces on the second protrusion.

PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR USE WITH A GLOVE
20180077980 · 2018-03-22 ·

A protective device for use in a high temperature and liquid environment provides a glove integrally formed with a protective member in the thumb webbing region. The protective member is not readily detectable when viewing the outside of the glove. The protective member is cut resistant and constructed to protect a workman's hand as a sharp and hot object passes over the protective member contacting the outer surface of the glove.

Cut resistant article

The invention relates to an article comprising a cut-resistant coating which contains a polymeric matrix and a cut-resistant component distributed in the polymeric matrix characterized in that said cut-resistant component is a plurality of fibers having an average length (L) to an average diameter (D) ratio, i.e. L/D, of at least 10.

Safety glove with fingertip protective member
12156553 · 2024-12-03 · ·

A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.

Ambidextrous glove having widened glove body and method of producing the same

A reusable glove for meat processing plants that is able to be easily donned and doffed, and worn over a liner. A thumb crotch is defined between first sides of the glove's index finger region and thumb region. An imaginary first plane extends generally along the index finger region's first side, beyond the thumb crotch, and through the thumb region. An imaginary second plane oriented at right angles to the first plane extends along a narrowest width of the glove's wrist region and intersects the first plane at an intersection region. An imaginary third plane oriented parallel to the first plane and at right angles to the second plane, passes through narrowest width of the wrist region, and intersects the side of the wrist region at a transition region. The transition region is located outwardly beyond the intersection region and vertically below the thumb crotch.

GLOVE WITH MOTION PORTION AND ROLLED FINGER
20250018272 · 2025-01-16 ·

The present disclosure relates to a glove, in particular a goalkeeper glove, comprising a palm portion and a rolled finger portion on at least one of an index finger, a middle finger, a ring finger and a little finger of the glove. A lower end of at least one of the rolled finger portions is connected only to a member of a motion portion being disposed between the palm portion and the rolled finger portion.

CONSUMER USABLE DEVICE WITH REDEEMABLE MEMBER

A wearable protection item having a redeemable member is disclosed. The wearable protection item may include a protective glove and a redeemable member. The protective glove may include a finger region, a thumb region, a palm region, a wrist region, and a separable region. The wrist region and the separable region may define an opening into the protective glove. The opening may include an edge. The separable region may be adjacent to the wrist region and the thumb region. The redeemable member may include an exterior surface and an interior surface, where at least one of the exterior surface or the interior surface has indicia thereon, and where the redeemable member is adhered to the separable region.

Protective glove with wire mesh

A protective glove includes an inner liner having a soft pliable material configured to cover a front side and a back side of a user's hand. A protective layer is attached to an exterior surface of the inner liner and disposed over at least the front side of the user's hand. The protective layer includes a wire mesh panel that is configured to protect the user's hand from cuts, abrasions, and punctures and that has an edge portion with a plurality of wire ends. An edge protector is disposed over the edge portion of the wire mesh panel and substantially conceals the wire ends to prevent the edge portion from fraying and the plurality of wire ends from piercing the inner liner. An outer layer is attached to the exterior surface of the inner liner and is disposed over the protective layer.
